I spoke to them and they said you can use the shock cord with their quid detatch peltor adapter. Theur website even shows it setup in that configuration. Have you tried it?

Just received my exfil ballistic with the 3.0 rails. The peltor quick attach mounts do infact work with the new rails.

Yes, we did try, but maybe there's another solution we're not aware of IDK.

Are ther also differences between the old and new LTP bump helmets themselves? looking around on the web they look different...

Not much, only the NVG shroud and BOA system have been updated to their latest designs.

What protection glasses you use? I see it saves from sun really well.

We use the Revision Stingerhawk, but Revision is updating their assortment with new models which we are waiting for. So I suggest you to wait as well. | Viper

Can you swap the rails from a 2.0 to a 3.0?

Hi, Yes you can buy a Rail 3.0 retrofit kit. So if you have a rail 2.0 helmet you can just get the rail 3.0 rails and switch them. (Unfortunately for those who have a Rail 3.0 helmet there is no rail 2.0 retrofit kit.)

How do you have your sordins underneath the helmet? Did you remove the padding?

He might have removed the padding, though sordin also makes a version meant to be worn under helmets.

I never understood the idea of using a respirator with your eyes exposed. Any gasses or particulate that would inhibit your breathing will affect your eyesight. Full face shield or nothing.
