I would have lowkey gave Syrus the rescue-ace deck not gonna lie.

So for Jaden, I always thought a world chalice deck would suit him pretty well. A deck with heroes who combine to become stronger extra deck monsters. Instead of meeting the Neo Spacians during the society of light arc, he could’ve met the Mekk-Knights instead. Instead of evil heroes, he would have the Knightmares.

Bastion and Mathmech is the biggest "no shit" of the whole video

Since you gave drytron to zane, a good fit for syrus would be ursatic Is the "lesser" brother of drytron, more gimmicky rather than powerful, with cuter visuals (specially on the bosses) There's even a weird fusion monster between both decks

Blair later evolves her deck to mainly run a Charmer deck. So her deck type is basically cute girls who gain strength from each other. I think Witchcrafter would suit her.

I really wanted Jaden to have Super Quants like the thumbnail suggested.

also, Chazz's title in the japanese dub is Manjyome THUNDER. he would absolutely play that up with Thunder Dragons.

Syrus I think would work with Gold Pride. It just feels right. I actually would give Chazz Spright as his "main" deck. A big part of why he shuffles his decks around but keeps Ojama as a core is because of their versatility and ability to splash in his other strategies, and Spright seems up his alley since it can be combined with "literally any set of Level 2 focused decks." And it keeps his Thunder themeing. Alexis I would probably go for Mikanko, a large part of her GX decks are that she has some cards that are based on dancing and gymnastics but the Cyber Angels are Ritual monsters based on Shinto gods. So why not Mikanko, a Ritual Deck that is based on Shinto priests and involves dancing? Blair just for the Tag Force reference is mandatory to play Lightsworn. Banner being all about alchemy I could see getting Eldlich, since that also is an alchemy deck. Or Invoked could work if the concept is to match his ideal of being an occultist seeking knowledge, and you wanted to focus on a versatile strategy with multiple attributes. Darkness, I want to say Shaddoll. In terms of his philosophy of individualism bringing suffering, play style involving set cards, and in-story abilities of possession, Shaddoll seems like a good fit.

Ancient Warriors would be very entertaining and flashy. Creatively finding solutions and ways around any villain of the weeks decks as well as adapting to and out playing the rest of the cast's various styles of play. They also would fit Jaden's honorable hero's journey/story arc style and personality. Every game would feel unique and fun to watch.

I feel like lightsworn would be perfect for sartorius. the light theme fits very well and the mill aspect could be tied to some destiny/terror card reading things

Thought Yubel should've gotten the "Memento" Deck. For Jaden, it might be odd but I think he'd run a Chaos deck. Both light and dark aspects of him, while aslo getting to do alot of crazy stuff!

Judai would absolutely play tearlament because it's got "miracle" top decks, fusion from the graveyard, and an answer to every game state, just like how Kaiser Ryo tells him the heroes have "infinite potential"

I think Blair Flannigan's best deck would be Mikankos as they are all about taking control of opponents monsters and using equip cards I really like the libromancer pick for Jaden tho great video!

I never thought about Drytron being Zane’s deck but that does make a lot of sense. Bc of the card design of the Tenpai dragons, and that they’re a going second beatstick heavy deck, I had an idea that Zane would play Tenpai. Also I really wish Cyber Dragon got support in Duelists of Brilliance. Oh well…

Bastion wrote equations on cards, he would definitely go for Mathmechs. And thunder dragon is perfect for Chazz when you consider that in japanese there is kind of a thing with "Manjoume thunder".

Fur Hires also come to mind for either Jaden or Jesse; I’ve always found the card art for them to have a lot of personality as if you could see each one of them being a Duel Monster Spirit, and Beat (or Filo) specifically feel like they occupy a similar “cute small monster mascot” niche to Winged Kuriboh or Ruby Carbuncle. Plus, their strategy really pushes swarming the field and obtaining beneficial effects from being together, so they really feel fitting towards Jaden/Jesse’s ideas of friendship and teamwork.

I love that you guys give them completely brand new decks instead of just 2024 upgrades to the decks that they have in the anime like other channels. Really great work, guys. 💚👍🏾👏🏾

Thunder dragon feels right for a Chazz serious deck. But I definitely was thinking sky strikers for Alexia surprised you picked that!

Darkness, the big final boss, used a basically all trap deck, and would set 5 every turn with a 0 and Infinity and card, I definitely think lair of darkness is fitting but I would almost prefer if he could use some of the ZARC stuff, since he's supposed to be a manifestation of everyone's self doubts and existentialism about the future

I genuinely appreciate how you take the effort and go the extra mile to figure out what deck they'd play instead of just going with the easiest copout answer anyone could come up with

Banner's overall theme is alchemy, which means his best match would be Eldlich - the Eldlixir cards reference the same alchemical process some of his anime-only cards do, plus being zombies nod towards his inproperly-alive status.

Imagine if Konami took an actual game from a YCS or worlds or something, and gave the two decks to a couple characters and went and fully animated the entire duel. Like imagine a full power spright vs tearlament matchup, or the dragon link vs swordsoul game of 2023 worlds. Even if it's just one game from the match, that'd be so sick imo.

Alexis would get Ursarctic and Drytron from me. She has that Cyber-Theme with her original Deck, so some more Machines and Ritual Monsters that go into the future with Synchro's fit really well.

I kinda like Heroic Champions deck for Judai. Especially since he loves dueling with less than 500 life points most of the time lol. Also has a high chance for OTK and when Judai came back from fusing with Yubel he had a couple of OTKs. Also Heroic has Hero in it lol.

I think Paleozoics makes more sense for Jim because they are basically fossils as well. I like your picks alot. Also Bastion has played Magnet Warriors at some point. So he could have modern magnet warrior/ABC? Not sure about that one

Jessie could also play snake-eyes with flamberg dragon replacing crystal beast dragon and the mechanic of putting cards in face up spell and trap zones like the crystal beasts

I don’t know why but Eldlich is came up my mind when u mention ancient golem. I think crowler can use eldlich, he also use trap monster like stuff and he have his ace fusion card.

I think that another Deck for Sartorius that could technically work is Spellbook, since their monsters are also named after Tarot cards, like the Arcana Force

I was thinking Libromancer worked for Jaden, and I think that giving Aster a ritual deck makes that a stronger pick! I feel like a case could have been made for Syrus to get Infinitrack and for Crowler to get something else, but I admittedly can't think of something better for Crowler, so it's whatever. If you want to keep the Tarot theme for Sartorius, you could give him Prophecy/Spellbook!

Sartorious' best choice imo is Qli, they're based on Kabbalah iirc and that was the same base for the Arcana, if I'm remembering Persona 3 right lmao. They also have that final boss vibe and godly being aesthetic. Apoqliphort Towers felt like a legit anime boss whenever I had to take that down back in the day.

Cyrus should've been rescue ace. It's a deck that prevent things blowing up bigger than needed but at the same time it has the capacity to go toe to toe with them and fits alot into his growth from being very non combative and timid to the more willing to start standing up and believe in himself

I immediately thought of vernasylph for jesse, i think it fits him while also having a big payoff similar to crystal beasts, not very thematically related but more playstyle related

Woohoooo Lair of Darkness mention! Final boss energy, I love it. There's actually a vast number of tribute-based spells and traps, so Lair can get very vicious with even the modern meta.

Jim Cook can also go in to the reptile side for another deck. It would be nice for Shirley to even be truly in card form too, because does "Dark Alligator" truly reference her? I still use it in my DL decks with Whip Snake and Swingobra for triggering its token summon effect.

11:13 I actually use a Madolche deck on Blair in Duel Links, even though her only skill support is for her Maiden in Love archetype ftmp. So that just feels the best fit imho.

Dr Banner, when he finally dueled, had an alchemist vibe to him. I feel like spell counter or spellbook would be a cool deck, cause they are both themed around magical study and alchemy is kinda like that.

I would like to throw Memento into the ring as a contender for Chazz's deck because of the times when he used both an underworld-related deck (Mementos are based in the Aztec afterlife with their boss cards) and the times when he was relying on "junk" cards to win duels since Memento is based almost entirely on vanilla monsters that have been thrown to the wayside.

When you started talking about Alexa I immediately thought Sky Striker's. Seeing the same conclusion a minute later made me happy, lol.

I agree Jaiden would run elementsabers, but it misses the fusion part of the e-heroes. So I think his “neos” upgrade would be the invoked archetype (although I could also see that being the supreme kings’s deck with the using other’s cards maybe with a kaiju base to the deck.)

For Sartorius i will go with the Prophecy/spellbooks archetype. Both the prophecy and the arcana force are based on the tarot cards. Besides with his hability to see the future or make "prophecies" is quite fitting

For Yubel, other possibilities I thought were Infernoids, Lswarms, and maybe Fabled, but I feel like, similar to Pegasus in my comment on the DM video, Dream Mirror could maybe work too, mostly cause it kinda 'reflects' on how Yubel turned the people it possessed into Dark versions of them or something, idk

I like the Vendread choice for Aster. Fits him well

And like Vendreads, the Edgey Anti-Hero will be put down to the ground faster than you can say “what the r f***?!”

In the tag force games Blair played a lightsworn deck. Judgment dragon fits the deck that she used against Chazz. I could even see Jaden giving her a necro gardna because it works so well with her strategy. So tearlament would be a perfect fit.

I would enjoy to see 5ds! Although, after that, I don’t think thereare enough strategies remaining for the character’s of Zexel and onwards.

I was thinking Rescue Ace for Cyrus and Voiceless Voice for Alexis. And actually, Memento fits Chazz since he gathered everyone else's thrown-away cards.

For Axel, I feel like Igknights really fits his theme. Probably weird to give him a Pendulum archetype but he is a later season character so having a different gimmick seems fine. Alexis is now known for Cyber Angels since they were printed much more recently but for a lot of the series her ace was Cyber Blader and she used female athletes. So I think U.A. fits her in a weird way. The 5Ds manga and onward would have characters use the same archetype but different cards but GX was more experimental and would have characters use totally different archetypes so I appreciate calling out Bastion's yokai deck. Jessie played an Insect deck and Jim played an Alligator deck. So it is kind of interesting to think about what their upgraded decks would be too.

Another off the wall choice for Jaden would be Live Twins - they have that gamer/comic motif of the Elemental Heroes but with more of a Link utility.

I know this isn't about a yugioh gx character but as i was thinking as i was watching. if you were to do this with 5ds. To me a perfect fit for Jack Atlas woukd be the new tempai dragon deck from legacy destruction. Cause there all dragon types monsters. Their fire attribute which goes with his personality and when he summon his scar red nova dragon in the dub. he talks abour his raging/burning soul which intertwins with the fire atrribute of the archetype. Plus jack's agreesive, always wanting to attack, confidence and his ego espically in the first half of the season fits well with tempai dragon agressive, beatdown and constant attacking fits him the best. Thoughts?

I feel like the Evolsaur archetype was made specifically to emulate Hassleberry's playstyle, he loved evolving winged beasts and reptiles into dinosaurs

I can see Alexa using a an ice barrier dragon deck since she did use one similar when she went through the whole white light form.

I feel like Jesse could also play a memento deck. Rainbow dragon requires 7 different crystal beasts on your field/GY. Combined Creation requires you to bring back 5 different Memento monsters from your hand/gy. Given that he has a strong bond, bringing back his monsters from the graveyard to bring out his strongest monster feels even more fitting than rainbow dragon. The sacrificial effects also represent his own self sacrificial nature as is shown in the anime.

I thought of a funny idea for Zane's deck was Dinomorphia, due to...the shock collar

I could see Jesse playing Inzektor. Similar to CB, there monsters that go in the S/T zones, and he played insects in the manga.

For Chazz, I feel like his hybrid pile of cards deck also needs to include Koitsu, Soitsu, Aitsu, and Doitsu as his new Ojamas

I would have been interested in keeping with Chazz's manga deck which is based around LADD, so a Thunder Dragon Chaos deck would suit him quite well I think. Tearlaments seems to fit Alexis well aesthetically taking her manga deck which was based around ice queens into consideration, though she does strike me as more of a control player than an aggro player based on the spotty memory I have of the manga and no knowledge of the anime I have. For Sartorius, I think that Flower Cardian might fit his Tarot thing pretty well, going from one alternative card... thing... to another. I was liking the idea another commenter gave of giving Syrus Ursarctics since the connection to Zane's deck is there while being the lesser version. For Blair, if we're talking about stealing opponent's monsters and using them against them, Mikanko is a pretty easy shoe-in for that slot seeing as it has an archetypal snatch steal and is based around redirecting the power of the monsters they attack into. If we take issue with using them because they were assigned to another character in DM (it's been a bit since I watched the first video and I forget if they were already assigned), then you'd have to cut prank-kids out of the runnings for Chazz since they were assigned to Pegasus last video.
