Being a fan of Iowa, there better be ways to make 2 stars as good as five stars by the time they graduate. There are so many low rated players that ended up as first round draft picks. I'm really hoping they get that right.

Exactly. 2 stars should be different when they step ON campus, but with proper development they should be able to progress to that point. Just as 5 stars might not turn out, 2 stars should be allowed to flourish.

I would like spring games included but I’m not sure they will. Spring games look different for all schools so they couldn’t really capture what they are like in reality though I guess they could just make it the same for everyone even if it’s not accurate for that school.

I personally liked the RTG mode where u actually had to do school while performing on the field lol. I liked doing the quizzes and having to keep the GPA up.

Don’t sleep on small schools though, obviously upsets exist heavily in CFB so it’ll be great to really experience the emotions if like small school beats a ranked team and see cutscenes to crowd rushes and goalpost tear downs etc.

The more details I hear about this game, the more excited I become. This looks like a good starting point for the College Football return. And so far I haven’t yet encountered a detail that I wanted, that hasn’t already been confirmed for the game.

I’m pretty sure they’re gonna have it to where you can evolve your player up to a five star status based off its overall progression at the end of the day cause there’s no point of recruiting two stars if you know very well they’re never match up to a five star freshman versus a star senior you should be able to develop your players

If we can custom team uniforms/name/logo. I wonder how many teams we can make. I believe create a player would be part of the game right? Kinda like Madden. It would be cool if you can create a coach also. Really hope it’s a yes on all of them for Team Builder. Never used team builder before.

I think the helmet thing will be in the game. This was always a big thing for EA, but the NFL controls so much of how they want Madden to be viewed (players' gear, uniforms, etc). And basically, they didn't want the game to look "unsafe" with the helmets. But EA has no such entity to answer to for college. They have a lot more things they can do here.

Thats the thing tho. Plenty of 5 stars who have flopped. And plenty of walkons who end up dominating. Like baker mayfield. That’s what’s so complicated about college and that age where kids develop slower or just need the right coaching.

There should be an emphasis on development. Yes, maybe there is a noticeable difference when they get to campus, but 2 years in, it should be completely based on the program developing them.

They should have 7-7 camps or in RTG you should be able to go to college camps or dynasty you can recruit in 7-7 camps

a 5* has the better skills and traits to be plugged in to a system faster. a 2 star requires development and the right situation. with that being said a 5* shouldn't not mean OP as in real life we often see highly rated recruits who don't live up to expectations for many reasons, sometimes simply for being put into the wrong situation and not fitting into a system or scheme. so hopefully recruiting the right kind of players that fit into your style and scheme will weigh heavily in dynasty mode

The fact there are always 32 five stars tells you its a joke stat. In reality, Some years there might be 60 5 star caliber players while other years maybe only 14….

I’m pretty sure the helmets do pop off when someone is hit from a tackle. The reason it’s not in madden anymore is due to the NFLPA/Concussion prevention/The NFL taking over madden and having rules.

How about importing draft classes? That was awesome back in the day. We would type all the names of the college teams into the game, play a season then save the draft class import it to madden then use that to draft in Madden. That was pretty fun.

Yes, we will. A few high schools, including mine, have received emails indicating that they will appear in the game; however, this does not imply that high schools will be in RTG but it most likely will.

Of course there's going to be similarities due to the fact that it's football and that both games are made by EA Sports. There's also going to be differences depending on what university you're playing and certain things that occur in a stadium unique to that school. The development team for this game is also different than the team that created Madden.

@Royale5600 yeah, and you can talk about waiting for reviews for EVERY game that's out there. Some wonderfully reviewed games are terrible and vice versa. It's not going to be perfect, by any means, but I don't think it's going to be total crap either. I think most people are waiting to see how robust dynasty mode will be actually. If there's good news about that, people will be content even if it's a Madden clone.

In the pros you have to come out of the game for a play if your helmet comes off, not in college. NFL didn't want helmets to be able to come off during gameplay in Madden. They're literally talking about helmets coming off due to a big hit... I like that the game is going to feel faster than Madden does, but college football is not faster than NFL football, not even close. The NFL is a combination of all the fastest, strongest, most elite college players in the country. They didn't slow down once they reached the NFL.
