@@carrad123456 It's all based on wealth and pride . For an average middle class family like mine . We have invited more than 2000 people for wedding and it's not a big deal . It's a matter of pride for us . So even the poorest of the poorest will manage to invite atleast a few 100s .

Employing a 13 year old child to handle his horse on the day of the wedding is a serious offence according to the Child labour (Prohibition & Regulation) Act in India. Sadly, comments from Indians here seem to show excessive concern about the beating a ritual is subjected to when they don't even understand any part of it rather than standing up for the poor kid.

Nope. If the child is self-employed....which he was, it is npt an offence. You can't employ a child to do labour...but the child can earn for himself n his family! Also, weddings happen at night...maybe it was a part time job while he used to go to school in the morning

I wanted to read the comments to this video for some reason and all I read was a bunch of Indian people complaining. Kunal DOES NOT need to defend Indian culture at all. Specially in a LATE NIGHT TALK SHOW , this is comedy. My friend grew up in France, and has lived in America for the last 7 years. She often forgets common french words and jokes that her English is now better than her French. Language in general is something that has to be used often or you can steadily become less proficient in it. Your father doesn't represent everyone. Also, Kunal was born in London and attended an English school in Indian. It's a chance Hindi is his second language.

in case this will help clear up some confusion: Andy speaks about mocking Indian culture as an "on the nose" type joke. It's not meant to be serious at all. And later Conan essentially says that Catholicism is perfect sarcastically. Conan means no disrespect, and you can tell from the way his humor generally is throughout all of his shows. I am a pretty big fan, so anyone who isn't familiar with this talk show's style of humor may feel that this is offensive, but they mean the opposite.

Okay. One. I am Indian. I live in West Bengal. Two, India has the same problems America has ( racism, sexism, outright misogyny) and some America doesn't ( overpopulation). Three, India wins a million points over America due to the fact that we don't like to commit acts of aggression beyond our borders at the drop of a hat ( only sometimes). Yes, India has a tradition of acceptance (little too much bending over, if you ask me), but it also has a tradition of internal conflict.

As an Indian I say; I don't even care anymore what people think about my culture on a website dedicated to videos, seriously just ignore the people hiding behind an anonymous account; you cannot change the person but you can control the reaction.
