I played both at the time of their releases, Dota Underlords looks like much more time was put towards making it, but at the same time that made it quite a bit more complex for me at a time when TFT was just a quick pick & go, yeah you need a lot of planning and experience to reach the highest tiers in tft but if you're a casual, the basic understanding of how it works can still reward you both by getting wins and having fun whether u winning or losing, Underlords on the other side looked much harder from the get go which in my humble opinion is very counter productive for a mode that supposed to be less stressful that the moba part of dota, the graphics are a bit dim as well, giving it a bit stale feeling despite having better graphics than tft! add to that the scracity of the updates made it like there're fixed alliances you're always looking for, taking from the tactical aspect of the game while tft is getting seasonal updates to make it harder to have specific matchups that's always winning if you manage to assemble!

@@khaledbebo9 I definitely agree on a lot here, especially the pick & go part for tft, I think the clunky UI for Underlords doesn´t help reduce this feeling of being lost in the beginning ! It´s so sad to see that since I made this there were two nearly complete overhauls of tft´s roster and rulebook and underlords still got nothing as far as i know. Thanks for voicing your opinion !

@@Red5kull Major ouch. I didn't know dota underlords got tossed under the bus so hard. Meanwhile I'm here, chomping at the bit for the new TFT season.

@@Red5kull yeah exactly, few days ago I was thinking about re-downloading Underlords till I found that the game is nearly the exact same as I left it long time ago, so I decided I won't do it! the way they abandoned it won't help the existing players stay active nor new players find their way into it! I do hope the devs decide to reinvest on it again, competition keeps the genre fun & active!

If only VALVE wouldn´t just stop developing things they could do so much, RIOT just keeps improving and improving until they get it right. A game like this I feel lives and dies with regular updates and changes to the roster to not get stale..

Do you mean they trashed it through patches or by not updating it anymore?

@@Red5kull they ruined it by completely revamping the game, and they did so on 2 different occasions. Current Underlords barely even resembles what the game originally was.

I see, thats not a good sign for the future of the game at all, they did some balance changes on november 20th it seems but nothing compared to the regular huge shifts in Champion Pools and Alliances TFT does, maybe thats why tft feels more fun even though it seemed worse in most other categories! Just valve being valve. They just abandoned artifact for good so we might expect a bit for Underlords... But then again, Dota just got a netflix series so all the focus goes back to dota 2, they just made a huge patch focusing on new player experience. Time will tell if valve remembers underlords even exists at all.
