@gFTWYeah, but could've at least been given effects like "this card's name becomes "Dark Magician" while on the field or in the GY." That way, it can work with certain Dark Magician archetype cards. Also it could have effects like "When this card is Special Summoned, Special Summon 1 Spellcaster type monster from the hand, Deck, or GY," which would give it utility with some other cards like Dark Burning Attack and Dark Burning Magic.

@@matasa7463 Konami didn't want this card to be playable, it's that simple. The only reason why they have to make it an effect monster with heavy restrictions is to make it more useless than a vanilla monster. Also it HAS to be special summoned by its effect first iirc, so yeah, no synergies with DM archetype of course.

I put it in my DM deck purely for giggles, if nothing else it's fodder for quintet magician. Never summoned to date but it does help get the most of quintets effect.

@@DJustin210I think they’re talking about getting the 5k Atk effect to work. Since that would also rely on the opponent running more than 20. Maybe in lower tier pvp or just playing the bots but I’m not sure those decks are more than 20 either? I mean maybe there’s some cards that let you add to an opponent GY but I can’t think of any off the top of my head but I don’t play as often these days

A lot of people are saying it’s useless as a card but I really do think it was just made to have that “my deck has no bad cards moment.” You can technically just put this card in every deck and have it on standby in an emergency. God forbid there’s one more extra card in your deck and maybe you don’t get to use it and it sticks in your hand forever. I just like the thought of that one in a hundred moment where someone beats your ass in a duel and of all things, this card becomes your engine and ticket out. That’s the beauty of yugioh at its finest to me personally. Great video!

Thematically the card is really cool, but there's just no way to make the effect even remotely playable. Since it lacks any form of protection it's also likely to be stopped by almost any card effect in existence.

Now if you use obliterate, morphing jar, exodia incarnate, both earth fairy cards to put 10 cards back in deck, and jar spells,it’s easy that way I summoned on people about 7 times I kept track because it is difficult but not impossible.

25 or more cards in the grave? Honestly, with some combo decks it's not that difficult. But you're never going to get off the attack boost effect unless you're up against a similar "dump stuff into the grave" deck.

I think to make this card viable, they'd have to make it so the it can be summoned normally and special and make the effect conditional. Like "If this card is summoned this way(by having 25+ in your grave) it gains this effect (+2500 if opponent has 25+ grave)" and maybe give it some kind of immunity.

It was cool seeing you at the YCS 3v3. I got some of your sleeves from the vendor and sadly it had print lines on the back. I’ll have to order another pack at some point. The sleeves feel so good but I don’t think I’d be allowed to play with them at tournaments because of the lines sadly.
