@@mowgli6345 even getting to masters in one stream is literally a god tier achievement. That last little bit of help doesn't detract a single thing. You have to also remember that there were 100s of kids trying to stream snipe him and ruin the whole thing constantly from the very start. Every game was full of them!

This is why I love the APEX community man. I'm so happy I dropped Warzone months ago and started playing APEX again, the competitiveness is there but no one is toxic about it. No one was trying to take away from Timmy, teammates were cheering him on and I'm sure people he killed in game jumped on his stream to cheer him on.

not only were a lot of team mates expressing their support via comms end game, but there actually WERE some enemy squads that were helping him in game! some people just stood there to let him kill them, or gave him shields or bats. i watched this live for like 16 hours then came back the next day & watched since he was still live. crazy fights, cracked plays, wholesome people. was great to see.

Tap strafing is an instantaneous change in direction while preserving your momentum. You can only do it on mnk and it requires you to bind a movement key to your scroll wheel

the part at 14:30 indeed was a tap strafe. it's basically when someone changes the direction they're going (in the air) in a split second, making it really hard to hit them

I watched this happen live. I remember watching while I was at work when he and Nokopuffs were matched up in lobby. Nickmercs and other preds were "helping" him in lobbies by rotating away from him so he could advance.

On a side note, I'm so happy that you guys are becoming aware of what the Apex community means to just gaming culture as a whole. Because the game has a solid ranked system and a VAST skill gap it has become an incredible indicator of FPS gaming ability. Its an amazing game, amazing community and the last bastion of true competitive Battle Royal gaming.

@@alexstachura11 Apex is the closest to being tailored towards competitive play. And that isn't the case, it is just gaining wider traction now as larger content creators are bringing more eyes and players. Ranked is a facade but its also hella fun and satisfying.

Honestly....this video was so fun to watch and not trying to undermine the Hard work Timmy made , but i think your commentary and reaction really just worked very well to entertain me even more. Usually i just click off a video once i see pros doing what they do . Like I'll watch for a few minutes and then not finish the video. Unlike here , i didn't want it to end .

Tap strafing is really easy on mnk. Bind move forward to scroll wheel up in the second slot and just scroll and look in the direction you want to go. If it is greater than 90 degrees, you need to put in a sideways input (a or d depending on the direction).

11:42 yep that's a tap strafe. it's a skill people use to change directions on the spot without losing momentum. Also 23:28 holding shield is just holding the knock down shield so you have some cover

The Eva 8 actually did just catch a nerf, I think with this last season. But before then it was still slept on for like 4-5 seasons lol. It only just got nerfed because people started realizing you could hip fire and especially with a blue/purp bolt you can just melt someone.

At this point in time, when he was doing the stream, the Eva-8 was the Meta shotty, but now it is at best a B tier weapon after its nerfs either last season or this season..I dont recall but ya, the PK is the "best" shotty now, but the Mastif is a close second as they are kind of a comfort pick. Some cant use the PK but can pop with the mastif where it can also be the exact opposite for others.

Mastiff is kinda wild because unless you headshot perfectly with the pk a mastiff has a quicker ttk with 3x 77’s vs 2x 99’s.

The EVA was super broken in season 10, it had a crazy fire rate and damage. Soon after Timmy’s video it was nerfed to the ground. Fire rate with purple bolt is now equivalent to the blue or grey in Timmy’s video.
