Developers didn't want these games to be co-op to keep the player more immersed I believe. Playing alone helps keep that tension the game does so well in building, and playing with someone else might make the player feel more secure in ways. Makes sense to me.

Excited to see this whole playthrough! I loved the first one. Went on a huge lore hunt via KZfaq recently in preparation for this game. You were curious what was up with Six consuming things "like a vampire". So, the devs were trying to stick with a theme for the 1st game which was "hunger". Hunger was originally going to be the name for Little Nightmares 1 as well, but they changed it. Six for some reason can gain memories and abilities via consumption. She starts starving to death at some points throughout the game. First time, she gets some bread thrown to her by an unknown child. Second, she eats some strange meat in a cage which was used by the Janitor to capture her. Third, she has to eat a trapped rat. Fourth, (spoilers ahead) she eats a nome that was offering her a sausage which later we come to find out was actually the Runaway Kid turned from child into said nome after the Kid saw the Lady and learned she has a weakness to mirrors in his DLC playthrough. Some believe she "accidentally" ate the nome in her confusion from starvation, but someone (I think the devs maybe?) stated somewhere that her powers she has inside require A LOT of energy to use. Therefore she has to consume larger and more nutritious food which would explain her lunge at the nome instead of the sausage. Others have also said she refused the sausage because she found out the meat on The Maw was made from people (maybe even some other children), but she didn't know the nomes were once children as well. Consuming the nome which had learned about Lady's weakness to mirrors gave Six that same knowledge which allowed Six to defeat Lady. And finally, Six consumes Lady which in turn gave Six the power to steal life from others. She then uses that to get out of The Maw. Hopefully some of that helps people understand how much thought actually went into these games! There's a ton more in the lore as well. If people like this comment, maybe I'll start giving more details in future videos? Idk. But sorry for the long read here!

I don't know how Gab makes even horror games feel cozy, without it ever detracting from the actual horror of the game, but she does, and I love it 💖

The first time I ever watched Jack’s channel was when he uploaded the original Little Nightmares, and now, because he’s taking some time off, I am so happy to be able to watch the sequel with Gab!!

You might already know this, you missed two hats in the beginning. The first one is in the attic, before climbing back down if you go back to where you got the lever you see a gnome run by; following it will lead you to a hat. The second one was right after your friend helps you jump across the bridge, it is inside the top cage, it is similar to Six's hat. If you ever go back to that area you can get them.

I just discovered a game called Darkwood. my god this game is good. it's a top down horror game that doesn't rely on jumpscares and I feel is severely underappreciated. it's just so good at atmospheric tension, and I was immersed in this world right from the start.

I am amazed at the beauty and detail of the art and gameplay for these games. The movement of the clothing, the crows, the sound, the breathing, the wind. I know they are very short games but honestly one the best thought out overall for every little detail. I was actually playing the first one earlier after rewatching a gameplay of that one and this one adding the second character adds a whole nother level to it.

I like how the game really makes use of imagery and the environment to tell their story which makes for a chill watch. Also like another comment, not too sure I trust the new kid lol.
