Will this game ever be the same again?? Lets talk about the future of the game and the consequences of Saber's actions. Unfortunately its all I have been able to think about when going to record videos on the game. Hopefully next vid will be more normal ;)

Honestly, it's sad, how huge companies can buy out good, smaller things that everyone enjoys. and that they will ruin anything to get more money. It's just how the cookie crumbles.

I remember being awestruck by the first Teardown gameplay video from Tuxedo and then having the time of my life when the game released. Tuxedo will always have a place in my heart and Saber can smd

Edit: All the issues from the 1.5 update are fixed, some people don't like the DLC but that's whatever, game is alive and well, stop blatantly hating. Original Comment: Hopefully this outrage makes Saber open their eyes and start listenting to the devs more, one thing I know for sure is that the devs still care a lot.

Hi, I made the infinitely generating superflat map. I agree with the points you raised but IMO the game is not dead, because they only added content, they didn't remove anything. Even though I've stopped modding all of my mods still function because they didn't change the old stuff, it's still there. What originally made this game great is still intact. And my hope is we can just ignore all the bad stuff and continue creating.

I think that it's worth noting that since you made your video, the devs listened to comunity feedback and fixed the pc version: it's now back to as it was before the console update!

I waited months looking at the small development updates, finally buying the game I believe on November 20th 2020 or whatever the release date was, and loving it being another game like BeamNG with dedicated and amazing developers that hopefully like BeamNG would never try to sellout, but here we are, it's all gone

Well I don't, @@Akorune , I use it to represent that I'm from America. Besides, if I did, thinking I'm cool for being in a country with freedom (mosty) Is way less cringe than thinking you're cool for thinking you ate something that you aren't, you are either male or female. Not saying you have to have a relationship btw. And even more, if someone used a male or female symbol pfp, It'd be ok! That's he or her way of letting us know that he or she is male or female.

I’ve never actually played teardown before, but I have seen a lot of gameplay on it though, and it does seem quite cool and fun! The thing that really caught my attention on this game is the artist who made the music. Douglas Holmquist. I really do enjoy the music he makes for many video games, and listening to even the first part of the AV main “theme”, seems really interesting to me so I may look into playing it!

Saber Interactive is a part of Embracer Group (Embracer recently sucked out all money out of Insurgency Sandstorm, and killed it's developer New World Interactive), so Teardown will definetly not survive that, and I don't think it'll be the last victim of Embracer Group. Embracer Group is greedy, they buy out game dev studios with established projects just to suck out all money they can out of them by adding paid content (not a single cent goes to the actual developers, they don't get a raise or anything, Embracer Group just takes it all). When the stream of money gets low, they just close the studio responsible for the project, so Teardown has probably a year to live at best.

@@JimmyButBetter well, it's pretty easy to find info about embracer dissolving new world interactive. there's also a bluedrake42 video (he's a youtuber making videos about tactical shooters and stuff). bluedrake42's video describes what some of the developers have experienced after the embracer group bought new world interactive (it's titled "This is bad news...").

The problem i see is that if Saber notices that Teardown is going downhill then they will most likely just let the game die and not update it anymore or sell it again, Saber doesn‘t need Teardown as they already have plenty of other projects that bring in alot of money I honestly hope that it‘s going to end well in some way, Saber isn‘t a bad company and they are doing a great job with many other games, i have no idea what is going on with Teardown

i got the western DLC for Christmas and i can say this: mini campaign is fine new maps are good bit lazy for the weapons to just be reskins, but they're well made so there was actual effort all of it was on the same technical level as things I've seen on the workshop for what it's worth, i think it's a bit expensive but i wanted to show support for the devs, so badabing badaboom

As someone who loves this game, I feel like what would save it especially for the console ports as that’s where most people r buying the dlc is to give us either way more maps or to give full access to the mods or at least way more mods I feel Like I’ve already played everything 40 times over and I just beat the game after a week of having it, more cities more roads to drive in and destroy and more explosives for console

Honestly, I dont think tear down is dead. People are still making good mods, and the feature mod tab motivates the creation of better mods. Plus the player count is still high

teardown is kinda one of those games i play like twice a month and not much else, but i mean it still seems fun, for the most part they just added a shitty battle pass and lightly broke mods (i didnt like the broken mods thing but it seems to be very little mods as my mods still all work fine it seems), and i mean saber interactive for the most part seems fine (from my experience playing halo when they made DLC's for the game)
