4 жыл бұрынPart 1. The heart and soul of the bike. Today I am doing a teardown, clean and polish of my Yamaha dt175 two stroke engine! This is part of my scrambler build series, stay tuned to see the build progress.

Thank you Danny, as soon as lockdown is lifted is South Africa I plan on ordering all the bearings, seals and gaskets. Then I will polish up the case and rebuild the motor.

dual spark plugs on the head? how did you do it?

Hi Norman, this one came stock with 2 spark plugs in the head 🔥 I've been talking to some guys about it and apparently you're meant to run one as a cooler plug so if you start doing technical riding then you move over your HT lead to the cooler plug 🔥

One is spark, other was for optional decompression valve.

Apparently one is for the decompression valve but I've heard that you can run 2 plugs, one cooler and one hotter , when you get to technical sections you can go to the cooler one

While I'd love to tell you it's all memory! I'm definitely going to refer to my handy workshop manual to ensure this motor is rebuilt just like the manufacturer intended! 😎🤣

Hi love your videos! Just a question I’ve exactly the same motor but I don’t find the reference of the crankshaft! Do you have the ref please thanks !

Nice bro! The crank should have a keyway and a key so locate the cdi, you're welcome to drop me a message on Instagram aswell 🔥
