While it sucks that modded Nintendo content is now very limited, I can understand where they are coming from (from a business perspective). The best solution for everyone- Nintendo, content creators and modders alike- will likely be to integrate a modding system on the next console, so that any of their future triple-A games can be modded without having to use an emulator. It might be really difficult to actually implement, but I like to think that this could be why the successor to the Switch has taken so long to come out of the woodwork.

Such a bummer. I understand that Nintendo doesn’t want people messing with their code, but I think they missed the point of mods - people love these games and want to find new and exciting ways of playing them again and again. That’s a compliment not an attempt to steal intellectual property. If Nintendo wanted us to spend more money on games, why not TOTK master mode? Why not a DLC? Why not more amiibos for TOTK? For god sakes Nintendo, hire Waikuteru and give us an OFFICIAL TOTK randomizer! 😖 GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT, NINTENDO!

That's a totally understandable decision, but if you really enjoyed modded content, you can still play them on your own just for you if you want, and nobody will ever know about it 👀

How about making a second channel? (A Game Mods) That way if anything happens it would be to your backup channel

I'm not into mods. One channel I watch does some mod videos and I don't watch them because I didn't enjoy the ones I tried. I understand Nintendo protecting their characters. If they allowed people to modify their games, most people would probably be fine, but there are always people who take it too far.
