There is a lot of material on the TEAS science section so it is a good idea to leave yourself enough time to study, we typically recommend at least 4-6 weeks to study. The best thing to do is to take practice tests until you are getting the score you need to get into your program and then you can know you are ready to take the real test. Yes, generally most students find the TEAS 7 a little more difficult than the TEAS 6 because it includes more chemistry, but it all depends some students are really good at chemistry so they might actually find this version easier. @@SmartEditionAcademy I did better on the TEAS 7 by 6% improvement on my score. I barely studied when I took the TEAS 7. I'm not sure if I was just lucky or if it was just easier.

The science section definitely has the most material you need to know. The best thing to do is to put together a good study plan so you can make sure you are hitting each topic and making sure you are going back to each of those topics over a period of time with some repetition. Hi Tracy! You are correct, there is a big difference between the previous TEAS 6 version and the new TEAS 7 version and that difference is exactly what you mentioned. The TEAS 7 has a lot less A&P and a lot more chemistry. Are you planning to take the test again or was your score enough for your programs requirement?

I passed it, but my score wasn’t good enough for some schools. Even though I got a passing grade, it didn’t add up enough points still. So I will retake it. I’ve been applying to schools that are accepting my passing grade, schools that don’t go by points but I’ve been getting denied

omfggg yesss exactly like everybody on youtube kept saying the TEAS6 was anatomy based but it wasnt for me and that's why I didnt score too well on it because it was freshman biology and I hadnt taken that in years

Yes, the new TEAS 7 test does contain alternative question types including select all that apply, fill in the blank, and sequence/drag and drop. The subjects and topics on the test are exactly the same as the previous TEAS 6 version so there is no change there. The fill in the blank questions are primarily numerical so it is not checking for spelling of words. All in all the TEAS 7 is not significantly more difficult than the TEAS 6 and definitely not 1000x harder, don't get too worried about the new question types, this video actually goes over strategies for each of these question types: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gt5gjN19zZrRqZ8.html&t. So....usually we recommend studying for 4-6 weeks but since you have already taken the test and assuming you did some studying for that I think you would be okay with the July 12th test date but you will definitely need to put in as much study time as you can over the next 2 weeks. The best way to approach your studying is to really get a better idea of exactly what your strengths and weaknesses are not just by subject like science, but specifically within science try to understand what your weak topics are. If you have the TEAS 7 online course we have some lessons for the metric system including conversions and the majority of what you need to know about the metric system for the test. If the answer is a multiple choice question, you will have 1 correct answer choice. If you have a new select all that apply question, you'll be expected to choose all of the correct answers which could be no answers are correct, only 1 answer is correct, or a range of 2-5 of the choices are correct. You have to choose all of the correct answers, otherwise you don't get it correct and won't get any partial credit.

You don't have to but it will definitley help you prepare for the TEAS so if you can do it you should. It is a lot - but you can do it! Start by taking a practice test and see how you do on the science portion. Look at your diagnostic score at the end of the test and study the topics you get the lowest scores on. When do you take your test? Are you feeling good about the other sections?

Girl. Why my advisor ONLY give me less than two weeks to study and I haven’t taken my pre reqs just some of them! And the pre reqs are on the teas test. Wtf! I feel u. Students usually get 3-6 months to study for their teas. I’m for sure failing this one cus wtf! The studying I have to do under 2 weeks is clearly impossible!!!

The new TEAS 7 does have some changes but they aren't too crazy so you should be good if you have been studying. One change is the ratio of questions per topic so in the science section for example the TEAS 7 has more chemistry and biology and less A&P than the TEAS 6 version. The other change is that there are new question types besides just multiple choice like the TEAS 6 was, the TEAS 7 has fill in the blank, select all that apply, and ordering/drag and drop questions. Don't give up! It's actually very common to take the test 2 or 3 times so don't feel bad at all about that.
