At 13:00 they mention the "ACC Refs" were giving Tech every chance to push it in the end zone...What morons. If they did a little research they would have seen that Matt Moore was the lead official of the SEC crew that worked the game.

Let’s not forget on the blocked extra point, the long snapper was trampled. It is against all rules to even touch the long snapper on a extra point, field goal, or punt.

Truly was one of the greatest GT games I've seen live, it ranks up there with the blocked fg vs FSU in 2015 that was run all the way back at time expired. That was a gutsy Tech team in 2014 ending with a blow out win over a good Miss State in the 2015 Orange Bowl.

nothing better than seeing Dawgs fans with that confused, what just happened, look on their faces. reminds me of a 95 game against UF where the camera man kept showing this one UGA fan that was crying, and it was before half time.

Always fun to beat Georgia in Athens. Surprised that this was the first ever OT game in Sanford. BTW- I think that Georgia Tech Vandy overtime game back in the early 2000s was the quickest OT in College Football history. Vandy threw an INT on its first play and then GT scored on their first play.

In addition to the NCAA Rule, there are also three Approved Rulings that relate to the protection of the snapper. When a team is in scrimmage kick formation, a defensive player may not initiate contact with the snapper until one second has elapsed after the snap (A.R. 9-1-2-XVIII-XX). Sample rulings: Team A is in an obvious scrimmage kick formation. Immediately after the snap, nose guard B55 charges directly at the snapper, contacts him, and drives him backward. RULING: Foul. Penalty - 15 yards and automatic first down. The snapper may not be contacted until one second has elapsed after the snap when Team A is in a scrimmage kick formation and it is reasonably obvious that a kick might be attempted.

That comment about "ACC refs" was plainly stitched onto the end from other audio...My guess is that the speaker was a fan, not a sports radio professional (!), from the call-in portion of the post-game show. And thank you to the uploader who married the video to the Georgia radio audio. Very entertaining!

Had that same experience this past season when (overrated) #1 Georgia came to Jordan-Hare. Their fans were talking shit while us Auburn fans kept our mouths shut during pregame. But with 5 minutes left in the game, those puppy dog fans had their tails tucked between their legs, and their ears pinned back because they knew they were put back in the cage.

You should see the tv stations here in Atlanta. They have a sports show at 1130 on Sunday nights. I was getting ready for a “draft special,” thinking it’d be about the Falcons. It was for some UGA 3rd stringer hoping to make it. Then the next day, a fill in weather chick told the “o my stars” reporters she was a chiefs fan and liked a wr who made the team. Only in Atlanta. It’s almost as if they hired UGA marketers and to borrow a line from wrestling’s Jim Cornette, the firm is Dowee, Carreon, and Howe.

The Tech-Georgia game used to be fun for both sides regardless of the outcome. My Dad and I listened to both games while fishing - 2 radios. I went to Tech. He rooted for Tech unless Georgia had a better chance for a national ranking. I rooted for Georgia when they weren't playing Tech. But modern Dawg fans like this radio announcer are just runny shit. Larry Munson would never making grunting noises and whine. He'd make some funny comment about how Tech had just rubbed their faces in the poo. The best reason for Tech to get healthy is to utterly smash the smug Georgia fanbase - to "step on their necks with a hobnail boot". To Hell With UGA!
