opuswerk he has another interview where he describes see ing a synth pop band as a kid on Eurovision song contest ,age 5 or so. Hooked. I had the same iove,life changed that day. When Gary numsn ,facing away at an angle holding Mic stand glanced and I heard ..it's cold outside ....then turned away,mind truly blown . I mentioned it to someone at school next day to much ridicule 're liking the freak ,it was love with synthesizer music ,,i am not into anything that's not electronuc ,i won't apologise,the infinite nature of techno,every dsy i hear a sound that ive never heard before. The sendai system policy one,PvP mis actually seems almost painful , can feel a differrng sensation in last 7,8nears than of old ,old school is not bettef ,no matter what anyone says !

Same here, love my hardware and also use the computer as a 'tape machine'. I have tried to write music on the computer but just can't get a good flow happening. I love to play as I create in one big tweak-flow 😎

Invaluable. Thank you for your insights and your equipment preferences you shared. I agree it's best to work away from the computer and have everything finished before you get to Protools as much as possible. Staring at screens sucks away all the creativity and is bad for people in general. I love your studio, excellent choices on all the gear.

amazing sound. I found the 1st and last track as featured in this programme but no one has yet mentioned the title of the central musical piece between 2:55 and 6:45. The other 2 tracks were released in 2016 and 2017 so I assumed the middle one would be too. However going through a lot of released material, I wasn't able to dig it out...anyone in the know?

I totally agree! Except for modular which I use to fuck stuff up mostly....Sampling is the most important thing for me or people our age who need tactile results that can be stitched together etc is very important to me and the sound design as well as the arrangements. Yes? Peace Whatch my movie on Netflix ....called “Curse of the man who sees Ufos “ ps I don’t really care for make noise or euro rack stuff but I due use a lot of modular in my rig for noises that aren’t typical or in tune but are organized in a very complex fashion. I call it Strangovision ✌🏻👽🎶🎶🎶👍🏻🛸Christo

I'd imagine most of them were born into money.
@NuovaCulturaPopolare

The process of record producing is a necessary step to play around, and being credible, and gathering follow up from a live point of view brings in some necessary monetary bacground which enables to push further the personal desire to make music... some are indeed born into money, most are struggling, but some manage to focus on something more than spending money on cars and iphones...
@post_ultra1511
@post_ultra1511 6 жыл бұрын
If you have a 15k studio full of vintage analog synths, you are not struggling. If you're making beats in Ableton with a Midi controller on a 5 year old Macbook, you're probably struggling. The most amusing part is that very rarely does the music made with the 15k studio sound much better than bedroom producers with Ableton. It's another case of the privileged bourgeois taking a subculture and fetishizing the tools of it's trade in an attempt to seem relevant. Luckily you can just ignore them though, there's always good music being released by people other than trendy yuppies.

might take some time to build such a space rocket... visited his previous studio back in the days and it was already built on a effective way. I guess he's spending his booking fees in what he loves and he totally deserves this
@devonhughes3805

Thank you for the insight Philippe. You are the first to answer my question clearly. It sounds like DJ booking fees is a common way for producers to pay their rent, is that right?

It is actually Ableton so good ? It's widely the most popular DAW nowadays, if i'm not wrong. I use FL Studio and, at this moment, it provide what i need to what i want to do (at the moment..). But really, i mean... i don't know if it's because it's just popular among producer or it's the more "effective" DAW or whatever. I just don't get it. According to what i've seen, gradually, the developers tend "copy" their own software. I think that the majority of DAWs, today, are able to offer to the people the enought tolos to make good music, and that's why i dont understand why so many people uses the same program having so many alternative options over there.
@irisssss604
@irisssss604 6 жыл бұрын
It really doesnt matter what DAW you use these days. FL, Ableton, Logic etc are all high quality industry standard DAWs. Its all a matter of preference and what workflow you like the most. So try all of them and see which one you like working on the most.

They are all amazing, I think Ableton is probably the best for Live performance and also their time-stretching ability is pretty amazing. i personal use Logic because its cheap only $200.00 and it has a lot of virtual instruments and plug-ins. You almost can't go wrong these days they are all great.
