EPSON EcoTank M2170 ID card copy and Duplex Printing

Epson EcoTank M2170 is an auto-duplex monochrome printer. It also has ID card copy function. so here is the quick guide on how to take a copy of 2 sided id card in one page and 2 sided copy. A similar method can be used in Epson EcoTank M2140, Epson Ecotank M3170 etc.

Hi could you tell me if you are able to adjust the size of the copy I.e enlarging it or making the copy smaller on paper ? .

Thank Your Sir. I need to now about the ID Card photocopy. It works properly the way you have shown. But, one more thing I need to know is, when I copy both side of the ID card on a single page of an A4 size paper, there is too much space between them. The front is on top of the edge of paper and back is on the downmost edge of the paper. Can you you please help me Sir?

I have been told about the Epson l6171 color that it prints only 4500 per bottle and not 7500 as promised. And this Epson 2170? Do you really print 6000 per bottle or do you print less? How much do you print, actually? (I mean just printing documents in black text) Thank you.

I have not got the opportunity to test by printing such heavy number of pages. It was a review unit. I took around 100 pages to test the speed of printer. It prints only with black text.

Hi, It is around 15ppm. There is no wait time. Almost instantly takes print out after switch on.

Can we take 200 page at once time ? Someone told me that speed of ink tank printer reduced after 20-30 pages.

I have not tested. It was a review unit. So I returned it. Now it will be difficult to test. But speed is consistent for upto 20 pages in my testing. I have taken printout of only 20 pages in one stretch.

Sir, even though it's an ink tank printer, it is much lika a laser printer. It is much faster than other inktank printers. I compare Epson M2170 with another inktank printer and the result is awesome. While the other inktank print 6-7 pages in a minute, Epson M2170 printed 22 pages. The down-side is that the output is only monochrome.

M-2170 printer epson का सबसे घटिया प्रिंटर है अगर आप को दिन भर में 10 -20 कॉपी का प्रिंट करना हो उनके लिए ये प्रिंटर ठीक है अगर आप को फोटो कॉपी करने के लिए प्रिंटर लेना है भूल कर भी न लेना। अगर 25 आधार कार्ड का फोटो कॉपी करना तो आप को एक घंटा से ज्यादा समय लग जायेगा। एक बोतल स्याही में 2500 के लगभग print देता है
