Ok so nothing, or almost nothing comes up from the floor. What about the effect of sonic percussion via the air on the unprotected tonearm? There’s a 3D space of surrounding ambient air impacting the tonearm, cartridge, stylus, platter and vinyl itself, which with no sound at all, equals 760 mm (29.92 inches) of mercury, 14.70 pounds per square inch, 1,013.25 × 103 dynes per square centimetre, 1,013.25 millibars, one standard atmosphere, or 101.325 kilopascals again with no sonic influence at all. Add in the sonic characteristics, especially at low frequencies, on that air and you’ve nullified all that hardware? You should at least have an air-tight cover maintaining a near perfect vacuum with this stated level of precision.

I hope that's not an elastic belt. Otherwise all that precision engineering is all for naught. There's still belt creep with a motor pulley that small. Regardless of its price, I am still not convinced its method provides has the most accurate and stable speed and effective torque. Pushing the state of the art is admirable and I understand they are a turntable company but shouldn't some of the resource be placed on an integrated tonearm? Hmmm... The table is $450K and the most expensive tonearm on the market is about $30K plus. Piling on mass doesn't seem like clever engineering to me but I guess for the potential buyer, if nothing else, at least you have size!

I doubt that this beast sounds any better than one of their smaller models....but surely understand that from a marketing standpoint it can make some sense to the manufacturer to release such an uber turntable.
