Personally I went the Apple Watch SE as my first Apple Watch, and it has been a blast!

My first apple watch was the series 3, then recently got the SE. I can fully say the SE has been a blast compared to the series 3, the bigger screen also makes a huge difference.

I saw my friend from work she watch those watches every day , I know her family situation , so I spoke with my other two mates and we surprise her on her birthday last week bought for her SE model . She in love , so happy , I have personally series 6 I prefer screen on all times

Honestly I bought a barely used 3 for like $50 and to me it’s perfectly great for seeing if I even like having an Apple Watch. Didn’t want to pay full price for something I was on the fence for. Had it only a few days now and I like it so far. If I still like it later on I’ll upgrade.

I’m getting the SE tomorrow, coming from the series 3, the SE will be a huge upgrade, I like the series 6, but only for the gold stainless steel and always on display, and that’s not enough to get me to spend $800

Last year, I got the Apple Watch 3 for $159. This year, I got 2 more Apple Watch 3s for $149 each. It is the best Apple Watch to get. More like 130 extra dollars.

After the watch os 7 update on my S3, I was getting random reboots and noticed that the battery hasn't been all that great. So I upgraded to the SE and been a great experience so thus far.

I just bought a series 3, it was only $139 from Best Buy (open box, excellent, so like new) mostly because I couldn’t justify the massive price difference for not that many features, and a slightly larger screen and better processor. I’m excited for my Series 3. Edit: about 7 months on, the Series 3 has been fine. It’s done it’s job fine, but it falls behind in the screen, storage, design, and features, so I’m getting the SE. Really looking forward to it! Edit 2: Finally got the SE! It’s really great! The screen is soooooo much better.

Series 3 is still a great buy. I recently was gifted the SE! Yess big difference...But You can’t go wrong with either one of them

I want to get the 3 because its much cheaper. I don't mind the lack of some features in the series 3. My only concern is how long it will be supported by apple until you can't get updates for the 3. I plan to have this watch for at least 4 years.

I got the s3 because it has more than enough features, no need to impress anyone.

If you rarely use your watch or only for calls, messaging, physical activity etc…I would recommend the series 3. Cheap but worth the price.

The SE is 400$ Canadian, Boxing Day a retailer is selling the 3 Nike for only 270$. Both 44MM. Saving almost $130 I will take the 3.

Great review. I bought my Dad the Series 3 42 mm on Black Friday for $149 which is too good of a price to pass up. Mainly bought it for him to pair with his Dexcom blood glucose monitor but for all the basic stuff like calls, notifications, and heart rate it’s been solid if not as quick as the SE but still completely usable. As for myself, I went all out and got the Series 6 silver stainless steel with Milanese loop band after my Series 1 finally died.

The 1st Gen SE is on sale at Walmart for $149.

I’ve had the series three since a week after it came out and it’s really starting to get terrible on me. It’s been about three years so I guess that explains it. I’m definitely upgrading to the SE though, my S3 is 38mm so it’s so small and I want to get 44 mm, that’s a no brainer, I want the modern design, more storage, and just faster and better looking Apple Watch overall! Thanks for the video!

SE is a great option

Besides the tiny screen difference, as a watch, reading messages, answering calls and playing music, will I notice a difference?

My wife got me the series 3 and it really was a great watch. It did in fact get my foot in the door to upgrade to the se. I’m not disappointed at all with the upgrade. In my opinion it seems that everything is just a tiny bit smoother. The apps load quite a bit quicker on the se with the much newer processor. The upgrade actually made my wife order 1 today and she doesn’t like to spend a bunch of money on electronics. Do yourself a favor and get the se if you have a choice. That being said there is nothing wrong with the 3. I loved it, but just felt like upgrading for the little money required.

Don’t get the s3 if you’re planning on using fitness+. I’ve had the s3 since it came out and I had a hard time updating the watch to get fitness+. I have it, but there was barely enough storage to update and I didn’t have anything stored on my watch. Also, after this update, I’m pretty sure the s3 won’t get anymore software updates. My mom has the s2 and she can’t get this new update. So just keep that in mind. Definitely go for the SE.

The lack of memory on the Apple watch 3 is a deal breaker. I have to unpair my watch and set my custom face up again from scratch each time they release a new update…..

I’ve been running my Apple Watch series 3 since 2018. I am going to give it to my mother and get a SE. I can’t believe everything is still perfect with the series 3 after all these years. I’m ready for a bigger led screen though.

I just started using my s3 after 3 years of non use. im very impressed with the updates. I see it as purposeful in day to day life where when it was the newest watch when I got it, it was mostly an accessory

I used to had a series 3 around Feb 2020. It’s good but I bought it only because I needed it. Then when the Series 6 was released, I then bought the Series 6.

I would have never purchased the se but someone sold it used to me for $150 so I returned my series 3 I got from amazon for $169 ( still a good price)

Would this be worth it in 2024?

Just upgraded from an OG S3 to an SE. I have to say the performance is night and day in my experience. Apart from that, my S3 had so little storage, I couldn’t even update it. SE was a much better option in my opinion.

I got my se Nike edition in November and I’m very happy with it and I’ve been using it almost every day

I have a series 3. It only has a total storage capacity of 4.7G not 8 G. I bought it in 2017. I can no longer update the software because it says I need 3.1 G storage room. That means I will need to delete all my apps etc to allow the update to download. Maybe the newer series 3 has 8G????

Guys trust me, just dont get series 3. At least buy series 4 second hand or the SE. I sold my series 3 for series 4. WORTH IT

The series 3 just seems to have a nicer screen, no idea why but it always seems whiter, whereas the SE seems a bit reddish and blurry, have both. I’ve actually swapped back to series 3. In honesty I tend to wear my Samsung active 2 mostly, lighter, automatically sleep tracks, can play music or video from watch and watch speaker. I use Siri for travel as better, but at home use Samsung.

I moved from 44mm Galaxy Active 2 + ROG 2 Phone to iPhone 12 Pro Max + 44mm SE, both watches are LTE And honestly I expected MORE for a watch that costs MORE! So yeah, the square screen is better [I dont understand the obsession with round watches] its more integrated with iPhone [but so is Galaxy watch with Galaxy phones which i hate]. The MAIN issue is lack of proper keyboard, on galaxy watch you can install 3rd party keyboards that FULLY replace the original and you get real keyboartd, on Apple Watch you have voice typing, finger typing and thats it, the so called 3rd party keyboards are not real, they only let you to type a message and push it to imessages, and thats it, if you want to search in some app, replay to sms, write contact and so on, you cant do that. I Really hope apple gives us a real keyboard, they have tons of options for disabled people but forgot that some people can talk but cant do it fluently [Stutter/Stammering] so voice typing is a not an option. Also im dissapointed that a CHEAPER watch had ECG and blood pressure messarument but not the more expensive Apple SE watch and to get ECG is almost double the price. Also I could copy music files directly to my Samsung watch but cant do with SE Of course the fact SE comes with 32gb is a huge plus [Samsung had 4gb and only 1.4gb usable] so i can copy my Audiobooks in larger amounts to the watch, i prefer to listen from the watch because its always on me, phone i can leave somewhere, especially LTE watch and it has payment option, you can do many things without the phone. I wish Apple Watch 7 introduces something new and unique so i have reason to upgrade [right now 6 and SE are 1: 1 copies, 6 only has more health sensors, but even battery life is identical so thats why i got the SE and this way if Watch 7 has cool new features or new battery tech, upgrading to it from SE will be cheaper then from 6]

Your review was good I have the Series 3 And just bought Apple Watch se last week I felt it was time to upgrade i like having more memory to download applications after a while eight gigs it’s just not enough so getting the SE was a no-brainer👍🏻

My series 3 has been having many issues since getting my iPhone 12 in April. The watch no longer connects to my phone and needs to be restarted frequently. I’ve had the watch for 3 years and I’m so excited to get my SE in the mail
