Το μοντέλο αυτό διαθέτει Super Amoled οθόνη η οποία αποτελείται από την οθόνη απεικόνισης LCD μαζί με την οθόνη αφής (Digitizer) και το τζάμι είναι ξεχωριστό ανταλλακτικό κολλημένο πάνω στην οθόνη. Για να αλλαχθεί το τζάμι, είναι αναγκαίος ο διαχωρισμός με ειδικό εξοπλισμό και η συγκόλληση του νέου τζαμιού με κόλλα LOCA (Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive). Δε μπορεί να κολληθεί μόνο στο πλαίσιο περιφερειακά, διότι δε θα παίζει σωστά η αφή, αφού το τζάμι σε αυτές τις οθόνες είναι παθητικό, δεν είναι οθόνη/τζάμι αφής (Digitizer) και πρέπει να έχει απόλυτη επαφή με την οθόνη.
Οι οθόνες αυτές είναι πάρα πολύ ευαίσθητες και σπάνε πολύ εύκολα αφού έχουν πάχος περίπου μόλις 1mm, οπότε χρειάζεται ιδιαίτερη προσοχή.

This model has a Super Amoled screen which has LCD and Digitizer bonded as one piece and the glass is glued on the screen.
In order to replace only the glass, it needs to be separated very carefully with molybdenum wire and heat. Then it needs to be glued with LOCA (Liquid Optically Clear Adhesive), since the glass part is not a Digitizer, but a passive glass.
Warning: This process is really dangerous, difficult and needs to be done by professionals. It may crack the screen, since the LCD is just 1mm thick. If it fails, the whole LCD Assembly must be purchased separately, which is very expensive.

Great video! Made me return the new glass and accept the cracks… what a difficult job! Glass breaks very easily, why is it almost impossible to change?

What products you use to remove the OCA from the lcd when you seperate it, and what you clean it after with

We use classic molybdenum wire to separate the screen and Morris contact cleaner (it has isopropyl alcohol and petroleum inside) which removes the glue with a plastic blade tool. We usually use a metal blade to remove it much, much faster but needs experience, otherwise you will scratch or remove the polarizer film

@@TechGuruGR ok thank you, so its not possible to clean it with 99.9% Isopropyl? You have to use other products aswell? those products cannot dammage an lcd?

@@glennjacobs2004 actually it is not lcd.its superamoled so it does not have backlight,so any portion of liquid will not damage the screen. Isopropyl alcohol only will be more difficult to clean,the petroleum does the best job that softens the glue.this specific contact cleaner has both of these materials so it does the job better. I believe there are more cleaners with those materials too

I just got done watching another video for this procedure and he didn't take off even half of these components

If you look better in the first minutes, only heat sensitive parts are removed (battery, cameras, flex) There is no need to remove all components since the rest are not sensitive, with this specific procedure followed. The cleaning liquid used is isopropyl alcohol which vaporizes and just before the new glass installation we cover the whole tablet with transparent film to avoid residues of LOCA glue.

Tech Guru I'm really afraid to do this I have all the parts I have all the glue I have the UV light I have everything that I need to get this done I have a shattered screen and I cannot bring myself to do it. I don't know why I'm a robotics engineer but I'm afraid I'm going to forget a screw here or screw their or forget to tape something down. I have a Tab S 10.5 that's basically useless because the screen is shattered I don't know why I'm so hesitant.

I've repaired many of the Galaxy Tablets and the only thing I ever take off is the back cover. Some of these repair people gut these tablets more than necessary for a cracked digitizer which isn't necessary. A simple blow dryer provides enough heat to remove the digitizer w/o damaging the components.

What is the right amount of glue and the type?

the type of glue is TP-2500 loca glue but i cant answer for the amount. i believe 30-40gr but i cant calculate it. you have to cover the areas shown, a little more wont harm as long as it goes out by pushing the glass when assembling
