Hum... hard to compare as I’ve not tested the 60pro, just the 50, but what is apparent to me is: V2 - better sound quality, better mic (without the usb interface), lighter and more comfortable. Hs60pro - better build (potentially lasting longer), detachable mic, cheaper ($70 vs $90+ of the V2) Other than that, can’t really compare them ;/

Hello there I wish you doing good , I just want to ask if you bought the razer or hyperx and how it's going with you . Because I'm on the same question right now I can't have a choice in between the blackshark V2 x and the hyperx cloud 2

I ended up getting the blackshark v2 but im fortunate enough to have a friend who has the cloud 2 so I got to test both of them and from my experience i would def say get the cloud 2, the blackshark can sometime be just a little to quiet to the point where i find myself every few hours trying to turn it up a a bit especially when listening to music and i find the audio quality a little lacking compared to hyperx's cloud 2, I feel like its just a better all around product

Thanks man. I totally get why the non-removable mic/cable can feel like a negative point, and in terms of durability it definitely makes it all a bit more susceptible to something breaking. Since I haven't testes the mh630 and its been FOREVER since I last listened to/used an Arctis 1 (I'm assuming that's the one you're talking about, right?!), from memory alone I'd still put the V2X above it. Anyway, hope whatever you pick solves at least the comfort situation for ya!

Yeah im leaning tw the V2x too after having a few more looks around ,at this price range I'm not going to get some "sound revelation" in any of the headsets I'm looking at ,so comfortable is the key + equally good sound quality as the others. My hyperX cloudX is pretty damn good ,but get pressure point if I wear glasses (The Hunter). Plus ,they're (V2x) 40ish bucks now. Appreciate the input and recommendation ,most likely go for them. You mean the pads? Yeah, there is a difference in the pads, but really depends on the person. I have hot ears (lol) but didn’t have any issues with the X, for example. But you’re right, there’s the different pads too.

It can change the sound quite a bit, but I rather have great stereo sound to be honest. The GSP1000 from Sennheiser is the only 7.1 “thingamajig” I’ve ever used that was not only impressive, but dang it if it doesn’t sound great. Don’t see any gains with Razer’s software, so I’d say “no”

A huge improvement over the old set and I found I could so many more sound effects I could never head before like the sound of gravel crunching below my feet in squad and the echo of gunshots in operation locker in bf4, and they are so much more isolated and comfortable I thoroughly enjoy them. Mic sounds much better too, in fact my buddies said it’s something they actually have to get used to it’s so different, but I can agree that the 7.1 surround sound is terrible. Games that require surround have a better system of creating that surround just using the stereo that with this feature enabled, so leaving it off will provide no disadvantage. £60 well spent.

I didn’t eq it… there’s specific Razer software that enables 7.1 surround through Synapse for basically anything plugged in.

That's not gonna be a fair comparison for me to do because I personally never really liked the Cloud headsets. Design-wise, they're more than fine, but the sound signature is always a bit lackluster for me. The V2X is, to me, on of - if not the best headset you can get right now around this price point. Easily. Excellent sound signature for Razer, great mic, construction is solid, nice design. Can't complain. Between it and a HyperX, I'd go for it in a heartbeat. THAT SAID, unless your current headset is breaking or failing, or you just really REALLY want to get a new one, I wouldn't necessarily say it's worth it to ditch your Hyper X and purchase a new one ;)

I haven’t tested the new Krakens, and it appears Razer has done SOMETHING to make them better, but I still have no issues with the V2X…. Unfortunately I know some people who have had issues, but that’s not uncommon with any product, really, so yeah, I think its still a very good choice.

Unless the volume on the in-line controls is busted or set to low and the volume in Windows isn't set to low, you shouldn't have any issues... Might be a situation where you'd need Razer's support to actually do something about it, my friend... ;/ This thing is really easy to drive veeeeery loudly. Shouldn't be a problem AT ALL.

It's analog. Synapse has no way to see it as some specific headset. Anything you do with the EQ options on synapse will work either with it or any other analog headset you plug in ;)

Ok, so let me get this straight: You think your motherboard doesn't have enough juice for your Cloud Alphas + you want a new headset = so because of that you're looking for one with a USB sound card. If that's the case, I can't really help in that comparison, because I haven't tried the MH752 myself. The Blackshark V2X (the one without the usb-sound card) sounds amazing already, and the microphone sounds better without the sound card of the V2, BUT if you indeed have a problem with power from your motherboard, the V2 sound card should help. That said, your Realtek ALC892 shouldn't have any real issues powering them, to be honest... Have you tried your pair of Alphas on another PC or another notebook just to check if it's not something with the headset, and not your motherboard? I mean, both are possible, but the most common "issue" with motherboards for powering headphones and headsets is usually the quality of the signal (loud noise floor and that sort of thing), not volume. Anyway, hope I helped... Somehow lol

Only if the USB version is supported by the PS4. This version, the V2 X, doesn’t have 7.1 without Synapse.

What exactly are you using to get your own voice's feedback from the mic? Razer's software, or are you using some 3rd party software? It could just be gain/volume settings on whatever software you're using to get the feedback, since the V2X is a fully analog headset, so gain and all that is controlled by the system you're plugging them into.

@@TechHyped I'm just using the normal windows' settings, last time i checked the mic boost was even +10Dbs, and i even plugged them into the front panel of my pc. How about yours? how exactly did you get it to up and running?

They pretty much stay put.... the fact mine is still a bit stiff helps with that as well haha

Yep. Good sound quality on the mic, nice price… its a good combo. If you don’t wanna appear on video with a headset on your head though, maybe a lavalier mic would be a better call. Wireless ones will probably be more expensive, but not by much… I think… ;)

I haven’t taken a knife to the mic arm to check how its built, but if its displaying a loss of rigidity, I don’t really see how to compensate for that, to be honest... Since it’s not retractable anyway, you COULD MacGyver your mic with a twist wire or something like that + a piece of straight or more rigid wire to serve as a guide, but that’s gonna look real sad... Potentially functional, though! 🤷🏼‍♂️

They're 3.5mm, so if the XBOX takes analog audio, yes it will work

Might be a stupid thing to ask, but have you check if its pointed correctly at your mouth? (Little mic indicator on the stem) Other than that, shouldn’t be picking up game noise unless its loud AF and leaking from your earcups, but at the same time that wouldn’t make your voice so low... Not sure what’s going on, dude. Might be a defective unit or something wrong with the cable... Could be worth it to check with Razer’s customer support.

@@TechHyped yeah forgot to say that its happening on discord, in game seems fine for what my friends have told me. yeah the indicator is pointed at my mouth. Thing is if i put the settings in discord to automatically detect it picks up audio from headphones and background noise but if i try to put some range in decibals it doesnt detect anything and is quiet. Btw this one is a replacement to first one which had a build issue of being one earcup too loose and both had same mic issue so maybe i dunno it might be with the audio driver but my cheap collar mic seems to work flawlessly which is quite weird and doesnt attract noise even at automatic detect on discord.

I have same headphones first problem I had mic was unusable and really low, I uninstalled drivers (Roll back on device manager) and then the mic quality fixed, now the only problem is I don't have settings as before, I also have audio leaking into mic, before i fixed it by setting my mic to 48k hz and acoustic echo cancellation, now with no drivers i don't have that option and it leaks, I don't know how to fix it, this mic is good and clear sounding, but only problem is leaking, and I'm trying to fix it.

This damn youtube app keeps not showing me comments... Geez... Sorry mate, I didn't mean to take this long to answer back. Anyway, from what I've seen, this isn't something that happens sometimes and with some apps, but not others. This gives me the impressions it's all related to how the app tries to eliminate ambient noise or to cancel/compensate for your voice vs the incoming audio on what the mic picks up. Personally I haven't really had this issue outside of Google Meets to be honest, but Discord hasn't displayed this problem.

That 48khz and acoustic echo cancellation thing is supposed to help a lot, but which drivers are you talking about? Windows audio drivers? The V2X being analog doesn't really have any drivers, unless you're using Razer specific drivers for the V2 that also work or affect the audio options for the V2X (which is plausible but not necessary).

Dude, I have a PC360 G4ME (which is pretty much a PC37X but older) that I love, and I just bought this ones. And they are really really good, and I've never liked Razer audio, but this are seriously good. And I've seen it in a lot of reviews. Believe me, great backup headset, or even when you need a bit of isolation (that's how I use them).

The PC37X is open back and breaks immersion. The V2X is too quiet and favors treble. Good for cheap wired FPS, but the sound is terrible. Mic is great though. If you want good sound, definitely need to pay for wireless. Steel Series are treble friendly and the mic is garbage. Turtle Beach checks all the boxes for a good headset. Stealth 700 Gen 2 and the Gen 2 Max is top class

Ok ok, chill... Relax... We can solve this in a couple of easy steps: 1 - 1st thing you need to understand is that the V2 X is 3.5mm, so it won't show up in Synapse, as it's not a digital connection... And they sound great out of the box, just by themselves. ;) 2 - The activation thing you threw away, that was to DOWNLOAD a 7.1 software for synapse, which will literally "try to mimic real 7.1" on your headset, which should work with any headset you're using, really, but in theory is something "tuned" to work with the V2X - and it's supposedly almost as good (if not the same) as the 7.1 tech in the USB interface that comes with the more expensive V2. This should be just a question of contacting Razer support of you can't find a way to download it from the interwebs anyways. ;)

Since the V2X is an analog headset, you can't actually "connect it to Synapse". If synapse doesn't have any options for EQ and tweaking mic and audio sound profiles, then I think you'd need that software you lost the activation code... Try Razer's own support to check what you can do the grab it, but personally, I don't know if that software does have options to tweak what you want. Even if it does, tho, it'll basically apply that EQ to any analog headset or microphone you plug in to your system, since it can't see that your headset is the V2X through analog, so it'd have to apply stuff to everything.

If you use a dongle to connect it to the iPhone, yes

Yep. Comes with a code for download, but its something sort of “generic” on Synapse that would work with any other analog headset/headphone.

Hummmm… alright, the hs50 pro has a boomier sound, but the bass isn’t as well delivered. It gets a bit mushy and muddy in comparison. But in terms of “amount of bass”, strictly speaking, it “has more”
