bill bath I like B100 more than B905 though both decks are among Technics's TOTL decks.

Very nice machine. Wondering why you would have the mpx or multiplex filter on? Were you recording from Stereo FM? If not you are rolling off anything at 19khz since the mpx engaged filters the 19khz pilot signal which otherwise would cause Dolby Noise Reduction to miss track. Since you are using dbx Noise Reduction there is no advantage to using the mpx mode unless still you were recording FM Stereo. Just curious.

@@ivok9846 The MPX & the HX-PRO is only for the recording not for the playback , Now as about the MPX filter is used when recording an { FM radio station only not for recording from CDplayer or turtable } with any dolby NR for the pilot signal of 19KHz when the radio station broadcasts in stereo mode and only for the recording , but if you don't use dolby at-all while recording then you don't need to use MPX simple as it can be .
