This time we look at a lovely Technics SU-3500 integrated amplifier. This very pretty unit needed a good helping of new capacitors and time on the bench to get her working properly again. But what a beautifully made amplifier she is.

Strange. I recapped mine and all the caps were in good condition. You can get a good LF boost with replacing the coupling caps on the input to the power amp. I love mine, its a keeper. The main reservoir caps had bulged however and was drawing a few amps at 50V. Take a look at my vids!

I have the same amplifier, but a different problem. When I change the volume, you can hear a crackling sound. Also, it's normally set to Aux2, however sometimes the sound suddenly ceases on one of the speakers, but it comes back if I turn the switch a little towards Aux1. Sometimes I have to play around with it multiple times during a movie. Any ideas what's causing such issues?

I have a Technics se a808 amp. And its turning on, but the klick sound is not coming anymore. So i found out that it should be one or both of the STK1050's. What do you think?
