I would highly recommend the Galen Leather B6 “Slim Leather” covers. Reasonable price and gorgeous leather that just gets better with time and lovely colours to choose from. I use the A6 Stalogy and the Galen covers are just the perfect match for the minimalist Stalogy books.

RE: getting bored of your clear stalogy cover. Last year around the holidays I found a wrapping paper that I really really like, created by an illustrator that I adore! I had some left over and used that to wrap my Hobonichi Cousin + used some washi tape on the spine, underneath my Midori clear cover. Just followed a youtube video on how to wrap it neatly. Highly recommend it! I've been so happy with how custom and me it is :-) Going to be doing the same on my planner this year with a new paper!

I’m currently using a Leuchtturm Pocket size as my bullet journal/ planner and I love it!! It’s portable and the perfect size imo. Im able to fit everything I need so far. For 2023, I purchased a Hobonichi Weeks just to try it out since my Bujo layout is similar to the weeks. I’m considering using my Travelers Notebook Passport size for a memory keep... Hope you find something you like! 😊

The Leuchtturm A6 dotted journal is the best for bullet journaling. I had the soft cover first but I found that I felt a bit ripped off because it had 50 pages less than the hardcover. Now going into the B6+ monthly so I have lots of room for calendar and journaling. Good luck. I like sticking to one journal for everything. Just my devotions/Bible reading is in its own notebook.

I had no idea the soft cover had 50 pages less than the hard cover 😮 Thanks for your comment, that's one vote for the pocket bullet journal hehe! The B6 is such a lovely size, it's not too big and not too small.

@@mariforgets yes, the softcover Leuchtturm notebooks have fewer pages. There’s usually a $1-$2 dollar difference between the soft and hard covers, and that’s negligible when comparing page quantity. In spite of that, I’m looking forward to my B6+ softcover planner 😊

As far as covers go for your B6 Stalogy, I really like Chic Sparrow and Sojourner. They both make leather folio covers which are meant to hold one thicker bound book by tucking the notebook cover into the pockets (versus traveler’s notebooks which have those elastics in the binding) and they have a wide variety of types and colors of leather to choose from.

My (planned) 2023 lineup is three things. 1) PLANNER: Hobonichi Weeks as a Planner, Health Tracker & To-Do Lists (previously A5 Moleskine Weekly). 2) MENTAL: Non-specific A5 notebooks for a stream of consciousness, feelings, rants, etc. Once I finish them, I will move onto the Hobo Weeks-sized notebooks. 3) MEMORY: Hobonichi A6 5-Year Journal for short-form daily memory keeping. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your daily journal set-up. I personally love 12 little small ones. But the Moleskine daily is a good replacement. The paper is nice! You have a bujo set-up that is working really well. But I guess the removal of the daily journal disrupts the traveller's notebook ecology. Maybe you should keep using the same small A6 journals for Bujo but add a plastic cover to it instead for protection? Or I would just use the red stalogy. Your set-up is always going to be in flux and change. But I think you have a cute chunky set up, and that by changing the daily journal set up - everything gets disrupted. I am hoping next year to maybe get a leather cover for my weeks and weeks-sized notebooks if the system works out. I avoid anything leather cover/compendium until I am very sure.
@mariforgets
@mariforgets Жыл бұрын
Hi Danny! Thanks for your detailed comment 😆 I'm really curious about your lineup for the "mental" side of things - you wrote that you'd move into a Hobo Weeks after you've finished with your A5s, how would you use the layout? 😮 The daily journal is definitely a cutie haha! I'm hoping to just move that exact setup into a Moleskine and hopefully it'll still look cute... Yes! It disrupts my TN ecology! Couldn't have put it better myself. Either I find another use for a third notebook or return my finance tracker journal in there... We'll see 🤔

What about Muji pen being highlighted after use on the Tomoe River Paper? Wow, you have such fine print with your handwriting. I have four Hobonichi weeks. The fourth is a reading journal and I do not care about the dates. i have an older one I use for my gaming journal with my switch or PC games. As for the back pages of the three hobonichi weeks, I use trackers for my blood glucose levels, health journal; check registers (really more of a in and out system of payments with my debit card), finance journal; collections for my everyday carry weeks. I do not bullet journal on the extra pages, it becomes too much with the daily pages. I just write my tasks and focuses on those pages along with notes. I have been using a layout from KZfaqr PaperJoy PH for this for over a month and find that it works well for me. This will be my first year starting a book, media journal (TV, Film, Series). I doubt I will finish it this year, but if I don’t I will just continue until it completed. I am sure 16 month layouts is more than enough and the blank pages. I read about 35 books a year currently

I am using a B6+ dotted softcover notebook from Leuchtturm for 2023. Softcover notebooks from Leuchtturm have less pages than the hardcover ones (for a pocket size that's 187 pages hardcover vs. 123 pages softcover FYI). Personally, I don't mind the page count because I use my journal in a quite minimal way. Usually 1 page per week plus monthly cover pages. I already set the B6+ up for 2023 and still got about 30 pages left.

I'll use a Nolty 1180 (small edition) in my Passport TN next year . It fits perfectly in there (it's a little bit narrower than Passport size) and there's enough room to put a 2nd insert for bullet journaling in the back. This way, the TN still gets chunky, but not too chunky :)

Hi Mari! I love your collection of planners and I had the same issue this year!!!! I was in a Hobonichi weeks up until June & from then I transitioned into a pocket planner & did some weird stuff from then until October & I lost track of a lot of things. I had like 9 planners by May and right now I shrank that to maybe 4. I’m just going to finish the ones I’m not going to use this year and back plan. The ones I will use will be set up for next year. Right now, I’m still in the middle of figuring out what I want also because I love the bullet journal way of just having things not being moved, but at the same time I need a planner with discs because I’m always taking out to-do lists & I don’t really need to carry all the months for the entire year. I’m kind of doing a hybrid system that’s hard to explain, but once I get it, I’m going to share on KZfaq. It might help conflicted people like you & I because there are things you want, but they don’t fit in 1 type of planner but you want to be in another because it functions well

The question I have for you though is you said at the beginning that your B6 stalogy was in a clear plastic cover... where did you get it from please?
