That's the other thing. An anonymous imageboard can never feed narcissism in the way social media does. So no, don't take advice from 4chan- if you're naive and uncritical. But do take advice from 4chan if you have critical thinking skills, because someone might just jolt your brain enough to look at something in a whole new way. 4chan is a platform for ideas. What ideas you end up with as a result is your choice, and nobody on there gives a toss either way, it's your life after all.

Get VMware or VirtualBox, get a copy of windows and install it on that software, then delete system32 on the virtual machine. You could record it all on your host OS and then answer the question for all of us.

I deleted ipconfig file from system32 because it was fluctuating (restarting) between when I played any games. so when I was playing any games my games crashed because of this file popping. after 3 days if research I deleted it. now I can't access any internet browser on my PC. but games run fine I guess I knew that already I prefer don't delete anything from system 32 I am installating new windows now

I've done it in a vm, just hitting delete wont do nothing, windows doesnt let users delete sys32 (obvious), deleting it with cmd, it gave me a lot of errors of Acess Denied, the vm continued to work normally, but when i tried rebooting it didn't, that's what happens if u delete sys32

ツ that's because since windows XP, system32 is a protective folder since Microsoft did that to avoid people from deleting it for these exact reasons. But you can delete system32 on Windows 95/98, 2000 and (I believe) ME.

Windows does take a ridiculous amount of time sometimes. The last few times it took over a minute, so I just held the power button down (I do a fresh install pretty often, I never shut it down this way, but this is ridiculously long). Linux on the other hand shuts down in about 1 second after you hit shutdown. 1 second vs 1 minute.... I'm going to be getting an M.2 SSD soon anyways, so I don't care if my 4-5th install of windows gets corrupted (it just dies on its own anyways, Linux is bullet proof). I've probably only force shutdown a dozen times, and some of those were emergencies: GPU exploded a TV, a monitor fried a different GPU, I forgot to hook up the heaters on my cooler and ice was forming (sub zero phase change), and in a few system freeze ups.

It didn't show anything like "X is waiting to close, shut down anyway?" like it sometimes does. I have as minimal as possible running usually (affects benchmark scores). I think its time for a fresh install again (going on just 3 months with this install). At nearly the same time, Chromium is not opening up most pages, downloads are failing recently, but anything Google owned (KZfaq, Google search) works perfectly fine. I think my OS is corrupted again, chkdsk showed nothing though. Maybe its just Chromium that has a problem. Thanks for the tip in Linux, that might come in handy (thankfully haven't had problems with Linux)
