U r doing fine with the test footage and I think It's good where you speed it up. Also I like your tests they show how great they are at picking up certain debris types and sizes.

Much appreciated that you gave it a extremely hard run. I just returned an Ecobot. I’m feel better about my purchase now. Haven’t received it yet. But I expect certain issues with roombas like anything …. It’s not perfect. Having 2 and sometimes 3 dogs won’t be perfect. Completely worth the purchase of IRobot. Have had the for several years with dogs that shed a lot.

I'd keep doing the speed up footage of the robot cleaning the room. That way people can see for themselves what pattern (or lack thereof) the robot is using to clean the room. Keep up the good work and looking forward to the coming videos!

Looks like it did a great cleaning this time, except for that bag error but I guess that's alright :p Nice vid as always!

Got this one for my parents. 900 sqft 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, long hallway living room, kitchen. No pets. Works great. I have the S9 which I love but after buying this for my parents I wondered if I should have gotten an i3. Nothing beats the suction on the S9 however. If it even gets near a dust bunny the think is killed.

Hmm never seen the turn around method before, only the reverse-forward dirt mode. I'm amazed the floor navigation sensor works as well as it does. I had no idea this would vacuum in straight lines and cover the whole area.

I moved from an i3 to an i7. I took it as irobotic training. Baby steps of emptying a dust bin to listening to a sonic suck of a waste station +. From careless cleaning to serious twice the time first installation even though it did not need it. iRobotics team is too 'we know' and trapped in an anti backlash block. I love their machines. I wished they used the public less and the willing private sector more.

I haven't seen my i7 do that new dirt detect 360 move 🧐 I'd imagine it agitates the carpet more than just backing up and continuing on.
@elaineh403 жыл бұрын
Your find that the second self emptying mess up was over the card board blocking the hole as it sucks the dirt out, so once you removed that there was no more blockage to stop it.

I’m assuming it turns around for the second path because it is missing two drop sensors located on the back of robot compared to i7. So I guess that is for safety reason.

the I3 uses a camera system that's mounted on the bottom, maybe it has to turn around during deep clean to align that camera?

We have an i3+ also, and it did the clog thing once. It sat there and tried to empty several times, but failed and said there was a clog. I went to check it out and there was nothing weird at all, so I stuck the box back in and pushed the empty button and it was fine. 🤷♂️

I bet there was an internal clog somewhere inside the robot because it doesn’t usually try to self empty three times and it sounded like a bunch of debris was getting stuck behind something in the tube and all broke free at once so maybe something got stuck and that’s why the hair got stuck at the beginning because I know I’ve had hair as long as that in my Roomba and itself empties just find

How are they with picking up sand
@bevfrigon71423 жыл бұрын
I just got one of these for a gift . I am disabled so it's very exciting!! I love your review but I am wondering if you might have any idea how I could put some sort of handle on it? I am unable to pick it up. My old one had a recessed handle and I just attatched a zip tie so I could get a hold of it. We all just assumed they were all the same .. 😔 thanks for any help!!

Can u do i3+ vs sand?
@markbrowning43343 жыл бұрын
Can it handle a large mess? Our brand new i3+ couldn't handle a basic cleaning assignment fresh out of the box. We ran it for a bit with no incident. It went to the dock to "discharge the dirt" and charge the battery. They have a small charge on them brand new. After a couple of hours, we re ran it more extensively. Trouble ensued. This time it operated for a minute or so and then stopped with an error code. This happened repeatedly. In the meantime, as it operated, it only pushed dirt around and wound up the pet hair before leaving it behind. A vacuum this expensive should be able to vacuum. Ours is going back.

Hey Adam, I currently have the shark iq and I know you are not a fan, but it works perfect for our situation. However, we want to buy another another one for upstairs which is a bigger area with a bunch of bedrooms. The i3+ is currently $399 compared to the shark iq which we paid $320. Do you think the i3+ is the better choice and how does it compare to the i7? Thanks
@AdamsReviews3 жыл бұрын
I do think the i3 is better than the shark for sure....the i7 can map your house better and tell it to go clean a specific room.
@shaynaleahy90683 жыл бұрын
I have a navigation question - can it be picked up and carried to a different level in your home? I read that gyroscope robots need to start at their base because otherwise they can't tell where they are to clean. Thinking of getting one for a split level home, but obviously this would be a dealbreaker. Thanks!
@AdamsReviews3 жыл бұрын
The i3+ does not make a map. so you should be able to put it on any level...for what you are wanting I would get the deebot t8+ for $100 more. I just uploaded a similar video on that one.
@shaynaleahy90683 жыл бұрын
@@AdamsReviews Thanks for the info. It's for my mom who doesn't want anything too technical and would do best with an auto empty so she doesn't have to bend down all the time. The T8+ is $300 more with the auto empty base, I think? I'll look into it and see how she would fare.

thank you for the video...Great...except for maybe the turd....lol...I'm getting an i3 tomorrow and its my first experience with any robot. I really want to learn everything for the i3. everytime I watch something usually they use another type...ie i7...and this i3 I'm getting, for me, was pretty expensive....sooo....I want to know everything. How do ya use the app for the i3? Do ya need internet? I have a large house with two dogs, a cat and a very messy mechanic hubby. The hair is a little scary. I watched another video and he had some candy for example, and the candy clogged the i3. So again...thank you
@AdamsReviews3 жыл бұрын
See the turd at least made you laugh :) that was the point. Yes you will need wifi to use the app. The app on the i3 cannot control as much as it can like on the i7 or the s9.
