Absolutely stunning speaker for its price point

just a quick note. I notice you said it has a micro usb charging input and then clarified that it's a usb-c around 1:40. Not sure if you just misspoke or are unaware of the difference between usb-c and micro usb as they are not interchangable or inside a subset of eachother. Either way, nice video!

Great review! I bought the LG PK5 about three months ago for $57 which was a good deal and it has good sound quality and a lot of features. I was not familiar with the app so thanks. Might get the bigger PK 7

I have it and i just love it but i think is not really that loud and is bigger than pk3, but i feel like some times the sound is equal or less powerful than his smaller version!

I'm sorry, but why can't anyone give an "unbiased review" saying they hate these speakers? I don't know, maybe it's just me(but I am using a pretty expensive pair of headphones) or the sound through KZfaq, whatever, but despite the hype, every sound test I've heard makes them sound terrible. And why do all these speaker manufacturers think they need to add more bass to make it better? Bass isn't everything, I"ll take a clear treble and mid-range, better voicing/imaging, soundstage, etc. any day over more bass. But I'll admit that I don't listen to bass-heavy, thumping music. I want my speakers to sound full, balanced, rich, textured, and "musical," not punchy and boomy, even if it seems more dynamic.

I have a two PX5's and unable to use line input on either...! As unable to turn off Bluetooth ..? Which appears to block line input when activated ... many thanks Rich.. ps great informative review..!

when you connected the speaker to your phone, did you see the AptX HD logo right as it connected? if not, that might interfere with the sound quality in the sound tests.

All the reviews on this speaker , no one mentions if you can shut off the flashing lights of the speakers. Some people may get a siezure. Is there a way to shut the lights off?

I’m going to leave this review on every LG boom KZfaq I can find. Please don’t waste your money buying this thing. I have 40 dollar Philips speaker that sounds better than this speaker. Like I’m not even joking. Every time I played it, everybody asked me “is that the loudest it can go”. I can’t make this up. It’s probably the worst speaker in the market for the price. I would recommend the harman kardon studio 5. It’s better than the jbl as well and way cheaper. You can even buy 2 and throw a block party, it’s that good. Please don’t waste your money on this speaker.

Dude, you need to work on your word knowledge, grammar, and your knowledge of acoustics. 1st: the passive "radiators" are not called "radius." They're called "radiators" because they radiate sound. "Radius" is a line from the center of a circle to its edge. Radiators don't need to be "near walls" to sound good. Placing a speaker element near a hard surface will amplify it's apparent volume, but will not change the sound. Some speakers benefit from being placed on hard, stiff surfaces that can vibrate and thus the vibration from the speaker is transmitted to the large surface, acting as a large radiator. All in all, your review was beautiful to behold, but bereft of useful information.
