This is a great instructional video! I've not installed a garage door before but I watched this a couple of times and then successfully installed two sectional doors over a couple of weekends. I had to adapt the method a little as I didn't have any help so I used pulley blocks to lift up the frame for a safe one-man install. The doors themselves seem well designed and high quality. The only bit I don't like is that the centre hinges have metal protrusions. If I was to accidentally park my car a little too far back, these would do some serious damage to the back of the car as they protrude further into the garage than the rubber weather strip.

Hi Nick, Thanks so much for the positive comments and feedback. The protusions or “wings” as we call them, provide an essential safety feature as a finger guard to prevent finger entrapment when the door panels hinge - it’s a compromise but a necessary one. I hope that at least explains their existence and to date, we’ve yet to have a report of any issues occurring as you would need to park perilously close - within a couple of centimetres - to the door for contact to occur. If you are concerned it might be worth looking at our parking laser that is available to precisely position your car if you have an automated door - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aLiHf7Z2rZnTkmw.html . Hi Guys, Just watched your videos, and realised I now know more than the my very lovely instal team. I've had a Lugarde Timber Garage installed, and supplied with Teckentrup, and Sommer Electrics. I'm in Seamill North Ayrshire and in desperate need of an experienced tech! Could you recommend any one PLEASE?
