I dont know what it was about that music, but it really moved me, such a beautiful piece. I was in awe, wondering how it was possible that such wonderful and powerful music had eluded me until now...

I loved the message in this talk. I find when sharing my music people often dismiss it immediately because it's of a certain genre. They don't even listen to the song before they make a judgement and make their judgement solely on the genre, and these judgements stems from the opinions of the media and other people. I like the way it's put in this video "to listen without prejudice". We try not to show prejudice in our daily lives especially towards people, but if you can't even do that to music or art then to what extent do you not show it to people? Are we only not showing prejudice to people because it's the norm or because we truly believe that? Do you like this piece of music because of something about it in particular or just because the media tells you it's "good"? Do all your opinions just stem from what others tell you? The thought worries me...

To be honest there is a very fine line when it come to motivation of playing music, there's playing to express and share the emotions and expriences of music and then there is just boosting your ego.

I understand and agree with what Daria says about the receptiveness of children. One day an unknown man entered our classroom at convent school, and Sister Mary Anne Joseph told us he had come to play for us. I was 8 or 9 years old. He opened the lid of the rather battered, out-of-tune piano that stood in the corner and played Georg Frideric Handel's "Harmonious Blacksmith" variations. I was spellbound and have been ever since. Bless that unknown man for opening my mind and heart to so much beauty, and bless Sister Mary Anne Joseph for having asked him into our classroom!

She is a fine interpreter of the music who no doubt has realized that it does not have much of an audience anymore. So after all of those thousands of hours of practice and playing to the wall she is taking her music to listeners with these stunts. Now let my children hear music. Children would be more receptive to this. Modern adults would rather hear simple music and lyrics with a good strong backbeat.

She is very passionate and apparently wealthy enough to pull off these stunts. Most really great musicians are too poor to even afford to buy a good quality piano, manuscript paper and pencils. Music comes to us without filters. Talking comes to us based on our own personal biases as well as the biases of the speaker(s).

How can one expect that people with very disstorted superficial taste,modern day people could recognize the value of eternal music?Education is on very low level and I agree that something has to be done very seriously with the education...In the western world is the situation worst then in an eastern part of the World and Europe,where people struggled over decades and found releas of their problems in listening or interpreting classical music.That is why Russia,Bulgaria or Romania have more very talented musicians and huge public than whole western World in the last 3 or 4 decades.Because despite real material poverty they turned to inner self...In innerself there is nothing like Madonna,Metallica or other cheep products to be sell to ignorant public...
