Thanks for the ride along Dennis and tractor talk. My 1979 F350 4X4 super cab camper special had wheel hop at 58-63 MPH but smoothed out at higher and lower speeds. The load range E 10 plies probably had something to do with it. I bought it in early 79 for $9700 and that would not be a decent down payment nowadays.

About the rain chances per day.... when they say 10% that is actually a coverage of rain.. not chances of rain. IDk what a coverage area is but if it says 10 percent and you got raid you were just in that particular spot.. I recommend you get Radar Scope on your phone. It can show you where you are and its VERY local and highly detailed. If i was gonna be in a field I would NOT want to bewithout that.
@Jacob_64205 жыл бұрын
Have they made any improvements on that krone tedder? Older models you could only transport about 10 mph due to the weight or it would blow the tires out. My dad's friend had one and got rid of it due to so many blow outs where it swerved all over the road. We have a kuhn and you can do about 45 before it will sway. Just curious how that model krone is. I'm sure they improved them.
@DLHFarms5 жыл бұрын
Haven't had any blow outs the tires are 10 ply
@grantpharazyn72874 жыл бұрын
The vibration on the road is most likely due to the front tires being pumped up hard for loader work! I bet if you dropped your tire pressure on the fronts with the loader off it would mostly go away!

I'm going to be interested in how easily (or not) the loader goes back on. :) After helping my grandfather takeoff and reinstall a loader on one of his tractors years ago, the difficulty of reinstalling was enough that he never did it again...... and based on that experience I'm not sure I'd even want to try with my own (newer) tractor (especially not without having a hard/flat surface to part the loader on).

I think your tractor was built in Mannheim in Germany and probably that's why it feels so well screwed together. I was at that factory about 7 years ago (long story) and they are serious people about quality control both on the assembly line and final testing. Also went to the Deere cab and combine factories and their spare parts dispatch location. Germans, not known for their sense of humour(they do, but you need to be very smart to understand it), but by golly they can do quality, and they are proud of it in ze fatherland, and rightly so.
