Hi I'm Wendy a resin artist and crafter.
In this Video I make a DIY teddy bear snow globe and for the first time I demould in front of the camera so YOU can see it first. It shows the process at all stages and I hope it will help you to create a snow globe of your own. You could use a number of different types of moulds for this. I chose a bear, but there are plenty of 3d moulds on the market.
Please tag me if you do follow this process as I would love to see the results.
I had the Idea for this from Louise Singleton Creations pyramid snow globe. Please check her out, she is a very talented crafter, the Link is below. Comments are always welcome.
Thanks for watching

Hehe thanks so much, it was hard to demould the first time. And didn't want to mess it up in front of the camera 😂😂😂 but I've done another one since and it was a lot easier ☺️. Glad you enjoyed it. 😘

This is so cute. Years ago I made a snowman snow globe with a small DIY snow globe and oven bake clay. Entered it in the state fair. Won some ribbon. I have always loved snow globes, and snowmen. This teddy is real good. Top notch. Its better quality then they sell in the fancy stores even. definitely professional quality. And I just have to say, when I see your smile at the beginning of your videos, it warms my heart.

@@Toonpish HAHAH Wendy so that's where that comment ended up. I was watching an older video (random) where you were making some small trays with lights in them and a smaller one with a cute little turtle that you placed on top of it all. Wendy, he is great! I like the way your mind works, the skewer idea was great! Were you happy with the movement of the glitter? I have struggled to find a glycerin to water ratio that I am happy with. I tried one with just baby oil and have no movement at all so I won’t be dong that again lol. Thank you for the mention again Honey xx

Yes the movement is absolutely fine. The flavourart liquid ratio is perfect (although meant for ecigs 😂) and works perfectly. The silver micro balls are glass and fall while the plastic pieces float so it's a good ratio too. You are more than welcome honey. Take care 😘

Hello Tracy. I got this bear mould from wish and it was very cheep indeed. I know they are also sold on Ali express and maybe even Amazon. Only a few pounds so have a look around. @Toonpish
@Toonpish 3 жыл бұрын
Ok looking quickly at the mould and if it was me I would do each each separately and have the mould propped up at an angle so the resin would completely fill the ear. When it comes to the feet, perhaps a hot glue or plexiglass damb with hot glue. That would be how I would tackle this. Good luck 😃

@@Toonpish thanks for that I'm not sure what you mean by a damb? Would you do the mica powder with achohol if I wanted the ears coloured?
@Toonpish
@Toonpish 3 жыл бұрын
@@karenscarsbrook8461 not for that, I would use the mica powder in the resin. What I mean by a damb is something to hold back the resin in the area you want to keep it. Hot glue works well because it will peel off cured resin 👍

I want to tell everyone that crafting with resin causes micro plastic contamination in water. If you don't think you resin waste isn't a problem keep this in mind, most landfills are near water. Wild animals are affected by human habitat encroachment and by the waste that eventually becomes a contaminate in our environment. Find out if your town does Hazardous Material day(s) and follow their directions about disposal. In the meantime, use a container that can be sealed well to collect your crafting waste..the future thanks you!

@Toonpish
@Toonpish 3 жыл бұрын
Can I ask what resin you are using? also was it warm enough where you are? it sounds like a combination of those two things. but without knowing the answers I can't help any further. However I will say that bubbles will get trapped under the bears head-neck area because it is an undercut. you can bend a paper clip round and get the bubbles out that way.
