You could die and come back as someone else If you’re enticed by what I sell Just need to sign and I’ll stuff you well Here at Terry’s When they die they’re dying to be rebuilt With bigger smiles like you wish they did Hindsight is a tricky thing So get creative Lilac eyes that’ll never wilt Can’t say goodbye with no lungs to fill Comfy company, a human quilt Preservation [Pre-Chorus] Sleep on a couch in an empty home Kicked out of bed by the memory foam Reason it out with the heads I’ve sewn My poised and harlequin eternal loves [Chorus] At Terry’s Taxidermy, I’ll leave you neat as a figurine I’ll remedy the death of thee, your memory forever seen I’ll set you free At Terry’s Taxidermy, I’ll leave you neat as a figurine [Verse] I don’t need to let go, so long as I Bring a sweet and special doll to life So I keep this mental compromise Justification But the nights are cold next to empty chests And polished arms in which I’d never rest I come to harm, but they can never fret Isolation And I’ve got a heart pumping messy blood And all these parts I could better cut And quit the farce of these imperfect guts Contemplation [Pre-Chorus] Sleep on a couch in an empty home Kicked out of bed by the memory foam Reason it out with the heads I’ve sewn My poised and harlequin eternal loves [Chorus] At Terry’s Taxidermy, I’ll leave you neat as a figurine I’ll remedy the death of thee, your memory forever seen I’ll set you free [Scene] Speaker: Thank you for joining us today as we celebrate the life of Dr. Tich. As many of you know, Terrence attempted to taxidermy himself. He was a man of perfectionism, not a man of foresight, and consequently he started with his eyes. What followed was less than his best work, leading to today’s service being a closed casket. If you’ll all please join in a prayer-- Oh, Jesus Christ! Someone help me pick him up...

The ending voice line part is so genuinely sickening to visualise, the sound efects of the casket cracking and Terry's body falling out is far too good for my liking and the horrified noises of the funeral goers just ties it together perfectly. Teddy, this song makes me feel violently ill, I love it. I will now go listen to it on repeat for five days, thank you very much

Hey guys (Hopefully hey Teddy too)! Do you notice that loud banging sound from 0:36 to 0:47? It kind of sounds like a hammer hitting metal. Well in Channel 01 Clown, you can hear that noise again- but quieter- from 2:29 to 2:40! This can’t be a coincidence- the sound is exactly the same and they are both 11 seconds long! I haven’t looked into the other songs to find that sound yet but I will later tonight. This might symbolize how while Terry is performing at the same time as the Clown- how the town doesn’t stop moving. How the characters aren’t just Teddy, they’re active and they all flow in time in Splitsville. Please throw in any other thoughts about it!

I know some kinds of (Buddhist?) monks would intentionally change their diet so they wouldn't rot after death (I think this would also slowly kill them) at some point, pretty sure this practice hasn't existed for a long time and I don't think it was ever widespread. Not exactly sure what they were eating, but I think a kind of sap was involved, and probably very low fat/calorie overall.

Introducing terry. The latest Disney villain and his theme song:
@Help_Im_On_Fire
@Help_Im_On_Fire 2 жыл бұрын
Alright here's my take on this song's story (please keep in mind I haven't listen to the rest of the album and just found this song today) 0:01 Terry was a taxidermist who worked on taxidermy the bodies of animals by day but secretly taxidermyed human body during the night. He was successful at his work. He was a perfectionist who had no mercy or remorse for his choices. 2:46 But unfortunately through the years he stops getting clients. He is alone with all the bodies he is left to work on. He begins to slowly loose motivation in his work. 3:17 He begins to question if it's his own fault for his slow downfall. He gets self conscious about himself and becomes depressed. 3:35 At his lowest point he gets his darkest idea. To make himself a perfect piece of artwork of the art he's mastered so well. Taxidermy. 4:12 He begins to taxidermy himself singing along with the song. He taxidermys his eyes first so he will no longer have to look at the body he has been growing to hate. Terry doesn't stop his work until his heart stops beating. 4:44 The taxidermist's funeral is like any others. People crying, a man giving a speech about him and his casket on display. 5:30 The casket breaks opens, traumatizing everyone there as it reveals the body that once was the living taxidermist Terrance Titch.

bro, I heard this song LAST NIGHT, and I only heard it because I woke up in the middle of the night, heard it, was like, "Hey this is kinda funky, and I really like Teddy. I'll listen." then I got to the skit at the end, sat up straight, looked it up on youtube and listened to the end over 20 times because I DIDN'T THINK I HEARD IT RIGHT?? Teddy, what the FUCK man. when I tell you I was too scared to fall back asleep, I mean it. The mental image you conjured with the sound of him falling out of the casket because HE WAS STILL ALIVE and the reaction of the crowd to fully registering WHY it was a closed casket absolutely TERRIFIED me. I LOVE this song, keep it UP.

The song "Terry's Taxidermy" by Teddy Hyde revolves around the haunting and gruesome themes of preserving the dead through taxidermy. The lyrics describe the speaker, presumably Terry, as a person who offers to stuff people after they die, promising to keep their memories forever alive. The song seems to suggest that Terry is not entirely right in the head and is driven by a compulsive desire to preserve the dead. The first verse talks about how Terry entices people to sign up for his taxidermy service and how he can make them come back as someone new. He promises to stuff them well and rebuild them with bigger smiles, which could represent how he wants to put a happier and more loving image of the dead person on display. The Lilac eyes that'll never wilt could symbolize how he is trying to deny the fact that the person is dead and is trying to keep them forever alive. The line "Reason it out with the heads I’ve sewn" suggests that he might talk to the preserved heads of the dead for comfort, which shows how he's losing touch with reality. In the chorus, the speaker, presumably Terry again, claims that he'll preserve the person and their memory forever, setting them free from the fear of death. The second verse is more introspective, and Terry seems to be talking about his own pain and loneliness, reflecting on how his need to preserve the dead is a mental compromise. He desires company, but he seems to find it only in the preserved bodies, leading to his isolation. Terry recognizes that he might be far too obsessed with trying to preserve the dead if he talked about his "messy blood" and "imperfect guts." The ending scene describes Terry's funeral service, where he appears to have failed to taxidermy himself optimally. The line "If you’ll all please join in prayer-Oh, Jesus Christ! Someone help me pick him up..." highlights the unsettling nature of the situation and how the practice itself is grisly and goes beyond the boundaries of what's acceptable. The song is a dark and disturbing take on the idea of trying to cheat death and has underlying tones of mental illness and obsession. 5:16

This song reminded me of a story I heard about while on a trip to Boston (for anyone curious, just look up “Boston Athenaeum Skin Book” or “James Allen memoir” Long story short: It was about this book that James Allen wrote describing life in prison, and as a dying wish, requested that two copies of the book be bound in leather made from his skin. Somehow it ended up in a library on display, and people were allowed to read it and even borrow it, but it was carefully looked after bc, y’know, human skin From what the tour guide said, this one guy (I don’t remember his name) “borrowed” the book and ended up doing something a bit insane. For a few days, nobody heard from him, so police got a warrant to search his home. What they found was a bloodied mess, and parts of the skin book rebound in the skin of the guy who stole it Now idk about that second part bc 1 it seems absurd and 2 nothing I’ve looked up so far had any mention of it, but whether it’s true or false, this song reminded me of that story

This has huge music video potential. I feel like it'd be too gory though.. If anyone wants to film a music video, tag me when you post it so I see it first or something.

can confirm that this is indeed a very good song to have on in the background while working on some kind of preservative project-i don't have the resources for actual taxidermy at this particular stage in my life, but i do bone cleaning+wet preservation+this just sets the tone So well when i'm working. i wet preserved a couple frogs last november (they had been pets of mine)+had this on in the background, and you know how sometimes when you're doing something you just get the sense it's going to stay with you forever? yeah

I'm literally surviving on this song for the past four days. and all thanks to my therapist saying need to sto policing in the world of the dead. So i did the exact opposite. I'll rather be with the dead that the living who gaslight and scold you. Rather sit at the graves than sit among the people who judge.
