Teddy opens up in his home in this live interview with Profiles. He discusses the tragic accident that left him a quadriplegic in 1982 at the pinnacle of his career. Teddy also shares obstacles he overcame in order to make a miraculous comeback in the music industry. Take a listen and hear how Teddy organized a name sake organization to help others who suffer from spinal cord injuries. Enjoy!

Teddy was the greatest singer ever before that horrific car crash. All the incredible power he had in his voice disappeared. He was never the same after that. He was just on the verge of superstardom when it was all taken away from him in 1982. Hardly anybody knew who he was in the UK, they never played his music on the radio and he never got the publicity to get him known. Listen to the 1973 Album Black and Blue by Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, his singing on that is sensational, every track is a gem. 50 years on I still play that Album never get tired of it. I’ve got a lot of music and that is my favourite of all time.

@@michellesakele-jones1800 Thanks, don’t forget to listen to Black and Blue, Teddy was at his sensational best on that album. Especially on the track, It All Depends On You, the musicians on that track the background vocals and Teddy building up to the crescendo at the end is awesome. 😁
