Interesting how he scored 21 goals in his last season then he left after we wouldn't give him a two year contract and only offered 1. Would he have made a difference in 2002 when we missed out ?

@@philwalkercounsellinghe started a lot of games last season & most of the goals were before Jan 01/02 veron & ruud were signed with plans to play 5 msn midfield & ruud on top Cole was sold in dec & Yorke the following year. Only ole remained from the magic 4 which had 3 seasons together 98-2001 and won title 3 times !!! In Europe saf wanted Giggs speed behind rvn and scholes on left etc United started the season with rvn, Yorke, Cole, ole Giggs and scholes capable of playing tucked behind too Ruud & ole (on right sometimes) played a lot with Cole leaving in Dec Forlsn replacing him
