Ten is from NCT's sub unit WayV. (Yes, he is from NCT U, but NCT U is literally everyone in NCT)

Ten is one of the best dancers in the industry, along with Taemin and the Taemin vibes are so real!!! He's also in SuperM, so you've definitely seen him before haha You should definitely check out his songs Birthday (Dance Practice version, trust me!) and Paint me Naked. His solo album is freaking AWESOME too, every single song is soooooo good. He's amazing, I love him so much!

Ten is an amazing artist and one of the best dancers in kpop. He's the second best dancer (after Taemin) if you ask me, and there certainly are similarities between his and Taemin's style/vibe. They are friends and both are in SuperM. Check out his song Birthday, the dance practice version, and you'll understand. The man IS dance. It's crazy. Ten's full name is Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul, he's Thai, hence him singing in English. He obviously speaks Korean but I think it wouldn't make as much sense to him to use Korean for his solo work. He speaks 5 languages btw (Thai, English, Korean, Mandarin, Japanese), he had to learn Mandarin when he joined WayV. He's one of the original 7 "founding fathers" of NCT. He's active in the Chinese subunit WayV and in NCT U, which includes all the NCT members of the three units. In my personal opinion WayV is the best subunit, but because they are the Chinese unit they are less well-known/popular than the other two. Imo they tend to have more of a R&B and hiphop sound compared to NCT 127 (more noise/experimental) and Dream (more poppy). Of course this is a generalisation as all units have a bit of everything. But WayV's latest album is one of the best albums SM has dropped in a long time. I'm so glad SM is letting them and Ten out of the basement more, his solo album debut was long overdue. The whole thing is fire btw, and while this track isn't the best track in his discography imo I can see why they picked it as a tt since it lets him show off different skills (dance, vocals, etc.) well. If you have the time I highly recommend checking the full mini album out (+ more of WayV) :)

Peak choreography. Some older solo works - birthday and dance practice (best in kpop ), paint me naked, dream in a dream , new heros. All songs in English. My interpretation is like he’s taking whatever darkness, trauma, or negativity he’s experienced and sort of embracing it and harnessing it so that he controls the darkness instead of the darkness controlling him. Makes me think of those D.C comics style antiheroes or even villains with a tragic backstory who are morally dubious and by no means the “good guy”, but they might’ve once had good intentions and have become empowered to no longer be the underdog. Idk it’s just fun to interpret the storytelling here 😄

Ten is absolutely amazing! And it's funny to me that you said he reminds you of Taemin exactly at the same time I thought so too. When it comes to vocals, Ten is amazing in the higher registers and I admire it so much. But when it comes to dance - super subjectively and speaking only for myself - Ten, Lee Taemin and Jimin of BTS are the top 3 dancers with the movement and control of their body out of this world. I think you'd enjoy his song "Paint me naked" when it comes to the the rhythm and playfulness of it, and I know you don't focus on dancing too much but "Birthday" - performance version is absolutely fiiiiiire❤‍🔥

I really think you will pass out when you watch TEN's solo MV "Birthday." Another one you would love is NCTU's "Baby Don't Stop" which is just TEN with Taeyong. I recommend reacting to their older Korean MV version from 2018 (there is also a 2023 version in Thai). TEN is actually not Korean. He is from Thailand and is also of Chinese descent. He in fluent in English, Thai, Mandarin, and Korean and sings in all 4 languages. He is often asked to be a dance competition judge because of his outstanding dancing skills.

Ten has one of the most gorgeous, clear, pure voices I've ever heard. I loooooove this type of dirty industrial shit - Ten served everything I never knew I needed from him. Prior to this, my favorite solo release of his is called "Dream in a Dream." Getting to see him perform that live in 2019 with SuperM was a dream in a dream indeed!

I take the video to be a Doctor Jekyll and Mr. Hyde sort of situation. The Petri dish breaks at his feet and all of a sudden he develops this alter ego that can control people like puppets. But he switches back and forth from the mild mannered scientist to the monster. The police even come to take him away while he’s in scientist mode and in the parking garage he changes into the “Nightwalker” and the police turn into his backup dancers and then disappear entirely.

If you watch Ten’s dance practice video for his song Birthday (best birthday song I’ve ever heard even if it’s not really about birthdays) I’m pretty sure he defies gravity with some of his moves in that choreography (not all of the choreo is in the MV sadly).
