When Harvey says that's my ride or die on my side plus I got 5 on it, she's referring to the other 5 members. Kinda took me back to tape 2 when Jurin said she's with her girls, she don't lead them she gets lit with them. These women are amazing

Ride or die was also a 90’s album by Ruff Ryders (a hip-hop collective/production team) and 5 on it (I got 5 on it by a rapper named Luniz)

A man that knows his music. I'll forever be a subscriber for the way you caught those bars. All the references to 90s/ early 2000s hip hop & rap from East Coast, West Coast and Mid-west rappers music. Bone Thugz n Harmony, Nu Breed, Beanie Siegel & Freeway, Tupac and Snoop, Luniz, Mobb Deep (Reek & Havoc), Missy Elliott & Notorious B.I.G. And still paying homage to J. Cole. I'm so impressed with these girls. Even if they haven't wrote it. They understood the assignment and delivered.

Prodigy was the other half of Mobb Deep alongside Havoc. Wreak Havoc is track produced by The White Shadow of Norway featuring Kool G Rap, Marcanum X, War Generalz (released in 2014) Not forgetting the Skyler Grey track produced for the Suicide Squad soundtrack in 2016 The beat is Cordae - Two Tens (feat. Anderson Paak) produced by J. Cole and Dem Jointz

The galz said they wrote their own lyrics in Tape #1 & #2. It wouldn't shock me as they trained for 5 years b4 debut, In the Docu they have dance n vocal lessons. rap should be part of vocal lessons. Simon the CEO & producer is an American who raps so I'm sure he showed them old skool hiphop or they were already hiphop fans.

It’s one of my favourite instrumentals EVER. Right up there with “Bird On A Wire” by Harry Fraud 🤌 HIGHLY recommend! What Action Bronson and RiFF RaFF did to that track is worthy of an Olympic Gold Medal 🫠

Harvey- I can do this all day, no cap, till infinity- Marvel's Captain America reference. Harvey- Slick with the shots like John Wick when I'm killin' it- Self-explanatory. Harvey- That's my ride or die plus I got 5 on it (giving props to Maya but also saying we got 5 more members just as talented). Harvey- Top tier, that's a big drip, prolly out ya league, (So what we doin'), Make 'em big mad but do it humbly- That's a shot to their haters.

Great reaction also the song was a Cordae and Anderson Paak song with the same name. One of the few reactors catching the references and understandably if you werent a 90s hiphop person they will most likely get missed but the fact that the writers still put them in means its what they grew up on and influenced them and seems like they are at least exposing the girls to it and its showing.

Thank you so much for breaking these bars for us! I truly appreciate the knowledge you share with us especially since a lot of people don't have the same intimate relationship with hiphop and rap culture. And also, they are actually the ones writing their own rap verses. They occasionally seek assistance (from Simon their CEO who raps as well, and prolly their company writers) when translating Japanese to English/Korean but as far as Book of XG and other sources are concerned, they are deeply on-deck with songwriting process including the beat/remix choosing.
