I am encouraged by the fact that, 50 years on, there are still players playing this music, and that there is still an audience for it.

Anything Allman brothers is as good as it gets! I’ve loved them for near 60 years, and it’s a long way until that love light goes dim!

In my humble opinion, this is one of the greatest Rock songs ever written.. thank you Mr. Richard Betts, without whom this song would not still be played 50 years later…

They’re pretty damn tight for guitarists who don’t regularly play together!! It’s also pretty awesome how much Derek likes to collaborate with other artists. There’s live shows of him with Dave Mathew’s, Santana, billy strings, Clapton/Winwood, the dead, Sharon Jones, Nora Jones, black crows, Kingfish, etc, etc. I love it!!

I cant remember the last time Ive seen Derek smile that much watching another person play. Derek is a true artist and lets others do their thing never looking to upstage them.

I was there on 6/20, literally the best concert I’ve ever been to. The Tedeschi Trucks Band is the greatest band in the world today.

I was at one of the Fillmore East shows as a young man. In Memory of Ellizabeth Reed was transcendent then, and this version gave me the same chills I had so many decades ago. I still think this musical format of the long jam is relevant still. Especially when virtuoso guitar work like this is present. The Sting of Dereks attack brings me the ghost of Duane.

Such a so g is timelesy And aneternal .memory for allthose who are now buried close to Elizabeth and Little .Martha!

We are so lucky to have this band to carry on the legacy of the ABB and creating their own masterpieces at the same time! I tear up damn near every time I hear Derrick play.. Simply incredible.

It is pure joy for me to watch Derek smile in response to Marcus. Derek's face conveys genuine love, respect, and joy for Marcus' inspired and unique interpretation. I just saw TTB on June 22 in Winston-Salem, NC. There is no doubt in my mind that they are as grateful to be performing and creating again as I am to experience it. That was transcendent! I want nothing more in the world than to see the TTB live. There is a show in my neighborhood in July, if my health lets me, I'll be there. If not, I just blew $300 on tickets.

Duane is my favorite, but Derek is......nah, I'm not even going to think it. Marcus' solo was just fluid. Wow. Derek...what can you say? His solos are the epitome of "making a statement".

Great playing all around. Derek is uniquely Derek, but I detect some Jack Pearson influence in spots. And that ain't bad!

Sorry folks. As a 50-year Allman Brothers fan, this version is OK at best. Technically it's fine. They play the notes correctly and do some nice improvising. They're solid musicians. But it's missing soul. They're too laid back. And for the first time I'm realizing why having two drummers made the AB so great. Without a second drummer this version just doesn't have that wall of sound (to use a Phil Spector term) this song needs. Dickie Betts & Jaimo: where are you when we need you?
