The Feldenkrais Method is an approach to utilizing the mind-body connection to improve health and well-being. Jacek Paszkowski is a practitioner of this method in Poland and the founder of the Academy of Conscious Movement.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

I greatly appreciate hearing this approach to learning. I always used to think there was one 'best' way, but Paszkowski is right, there can be many ways! Thank you for opening my eyes, mind - and body - to this possibility! 😀

Jacek, if you read this, next time do a short lesson at the beginning. Get them all to stand up and sit down a few times. Then lead them through the classic ATM of How to stand from sitting effortlessly. Then, they will have a Reference Experience to which you can speak and they will have an Embodied understanding of the theory that you present so well here.

To prawda - najlepiej jest tego doświadczyć - i wg mnie warto (doświadczyłem :-)) chociaż spróbować, bo to rzeczywiście jest łatwe, przyjemne i bardzo, baaardzo uświadamiające doznanie. That's right - it is best to experience it - and according to me it is worth (experienced :-)) at least try, because it really is easy, fun and very, veeery raising experience.

Look up madness in the dictionary and the definition is not "doing the same thing expecting different results." Maybe one could say that it's a form of madness, although it could really be argued that doing the same thing over and over probably more often leads to different results more frequently than it leads to identical results. Why do people think that it's so clever to say that?

You realize this a quote from Albert Einstein... right? Perhaps you think everyone who uses quotes is a moron.

The talk did not tell me a thing about the method or the process. Too much about the results. Where are the demonstrations? Show me. This was a waste of time.

@@magscran4959 I don't think he's nervous. He's focused. Movement likely helps increase his focus.

I don't agree. I am new to the subject and have been watching a lot of videos recently trying to find out more about it and this talk is the best description I have seen so far. I am grateful to the speaker for explaining it this way.
