Wow - very interesting. What really hit home was the stats on the deficiencies between court schools and first graders. Makes me think about the whole rehabilitation of deviants.

Great presentation! My Challenge with it is that she didn't give us the tips or a direction to go in order to implement these ideas into our classrooms. How do we do these Brain Tune Ups that she wants in our Kindergarten classrooms?

Crabby Pants!! An example isn't too much to ask of a presenter. I didn't ask for a curriculum. This brain based stuff is old news in ed, she can bring something new to the table. And who comments on Comments that are over a year old anyway?? Someone who doesn't have a life perhaps??

save your money. use good routines and deliver your content in multiple ways, like any good teacher would do. These hucksters push edu-kinesiology so that you buy their interventions and systems. same for learning styles.

before watching this video i will take a drink every time I see the words "neural pathways" and "cross lateral." maybe a healthy dose of learning styles and then an extra shot if crystals are mentioned. I doubt there will be crystals. We must maintain a semblance of professionalism. Because your ancestors survived because the listeners listened and the kinesthetic learners moved... or something? now to watch the video.

where are these Juvenile court programs for students? Do not believe this exist in Boston or Western Massachusetts. We are seeing other trends in kids that act out and what happens to them over time and how they are viewed even by other teachers in the same school.
