Diarmuid Lyng, famous in his native Ireland as a hurling sportsman and mental health advocate talks here about what the sport has meant to him, his community and his mental health. This talk is more than what it seems on the surface, passionate, educational and healing.
Diarmaid Lyng, a former Wexford hurling captain and Primary School Teacher, is regularly seen on TG4 discussing all issues GAA. Diarmaid also co-presented the popular sports radio show 'Off The Ball' on Newstalk. He has worked as a facilitator for the Soar Foundation, a Dublin based collective that encourages teenagers around the country to embrace the best version of themselves and ran the 'Facebook Free February' initiative last year. Diarmaid is also the subject of an RTÉ documentary coming out in October.
