We often think of creativity as an uncontrollable and accidental thing that seems to happen most when we least expect it. Todd Henry is a student practitioner of creativity. He has discovered that introducing structure into our lives can make these accidents happen more often.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Henry's TedTalk needs to be broadcasted to every individual who's interested in improving the world around them. 1 of the the most well-invested 16 min. spent. Thank you

Some words from the fast inspiring talk: define the problem ( focus) , explore options ( disturbance of all kinds ), relationships ( group question whats inspiring you) energy ( how we manage energy , creating space ) stimulate, filling us with things that, hours, , make something that you do for yourself - building practices, rince and repeat

I write a LOT of lyrics and every now and then i totally lose my motivation. I always think to myself, "how could my writing...change the world or.. how can it permeate through history." this guy has inspired me to never give up. awesome young chap he is.

I agree with most of what he's saying. But some of the things he stated are contradicting themselves. He stated that it is a myth that truly creative people are loners who lives somewhere in a cabin in the forest. Well, in order to be truly creative, of course, you not necessarily have to live in a cabin in the forest by yourself, alone,----but you definitely need some time to be completely alone to think deep thoughts and use your imagination and visualization. In most of the cases, you cannot start your imagination process to create original valuable ideas if you are being with someone or talking with or having people around you. While it is true that most great ideas are being created when being combined with and built upon other's ideas, however, it is important to point out that a truly creative person must have their very own private time completely alone in order to come up with original ideas. If other people are around your imagination is only working at a basic level. And let's be clear here, you need your wildest imagination to create new ideas. And you need an even more deeper level of vivid imagination if you want to come up with something truly original and valuable new concept that will work.

The two important words to remember: “Die empty “ - do todays work - create space of why you are doing what you do - and create practices doing it

oh and I'm pretty sure "genius" is the creation of new ideas and things to be existing, not simply knowledge of things that already exist, though those things that already exist are useful tools.

8:04 Wait, genuine question here: are the people prolific, brilliant, and healthy because they have vibrant relationships or are the relationships vibrant because the person is prolific, brilliant, and healthy? 🤔🤔

Post it into the internet so maybe people would accidentally read your lyrics and liking it, make a song out of it, show it to a musician if you can't or something

I'm always either covering or remixing a song. Whenever I tried to make an original song, I kept stuck just making a first minute. When I tried to force it, it turns out ugly. How am I should do to cope it?

Einstein never(to my extremely basic knowledge) created an object-he spawned creative ideas and wrote down these ideas(that randomly popped into his mind) and these ideas were turned into objects, built by other people. That's just what I think though.
