Because of a tragic experience, Adrianne has had to learn an entirely new meaning to the word patience. With her positive attitude and determination Adrianne has returned to the dance floor and has been an inspiration to others who have been faced with adversity.
Adrianne Haslet-Davis is a survivor of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings where she lost her left leg below the knee. She is also a former Fortune 500 corporate manager and full-time professional ballroom dancer.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

shes self proclaimingly "recovering" but it is still so noticeable that shes trying way to hard. forcing herself to be funny, relatable, dramatic etc... doesnt seem natural imo

Why would you recover from being perfect in life? Many should strive to do the same. I am not hard on myself.
