Jonell Townsend Think about this. If you were the creator, would you constantly want your needy creations to keep coming back to you pleading for help? Or would you want them to grow up and realize that everything they need is inside themselves. As a parent, you only have one thing to do. Teach your child how to grow up and live without you taking care of them. If this is the way we are modeled, why would our creator want it any other way? Your command to us to pray is condescending, at best. Who in their right mind is going to follow a command from a stranger who is demanding they take on his beliefs with no explanation while going against the model? Might want to talk to your parents and find out why they thought that instilling you with a lesson that goes against universal principles was a good idea. I mean no disrespect. I only mean this to be positive.

I achieved my dream 1. Visualized it deeply, a movie in my mind, matching my energy with the thing, being already who I visualize I am. 2. Vision board (goal board) 3. Daily commitment and motivation speech and speaking to the universe about how much I am deserving 4. Investing in my dreams 5. Discipline and absolute love for it and total belief that I can, regularly study of my dream and practice, involving myself with those who already have it. 6. Avoiding all negativity and stress 7. Eating brain foods and fasting and meditating and purging my life weekly. 8.Thanking the universe daily for my growth. Demanding that it keeps giving me the thing I want and reminding it why I am worthy. I am a writing genuis now with steady writing success. I have channel now dedicated to writing.

@@godjhaka7376 actually, she chose to pay back those in her congregation and Did, over a period of years - to stay in integrity. So her life is, most definitely better. She not only paid them back, but has continued to serve thousands of others who have learned what she teaches who then go on to serve others in the same way she does - teaching others how to live lives they love living. Her rising above circumstances and conditions in her life is admirable and inspiring. It serves as an example that there's hope for anyone, no matter what one's life looks like. Often people could use assistance to make it through...by learning how. That's what I, and countless others do...assist others with that. We're a few clicks away.

Seeing my dream coming true has not happened yet, but I keep working, I keep pushing, and I don't give up.

I watched this when my dog and I were both under the covers, three days of fireworks surrounded us in the poorest neighborhood of my city. My room had no door, the airbnb had holes in the floors and I was terrified. I BELIEVED in my reality. I kept telling the story of discontent and until I realized that I was the one doing it to myself. I listened to this with headphones and watched it again two more times. Immediately, I began to think positively (you have to LIE to yourself and Believe it, like an actor would do when getting into character) and within two days a $4,000 rental went on sale for a price I could afford. It took me another 30 days of responding in a new way to the same circumstances (road construction, challenging neighbors, a skunk attack, a fallen tree) to change my reality. The challenges still come, yet my REACTION is different the story I tell is focused on ABUNDANCE and the FUTURE DREAM. This works people- Thank you Mary, you saved my life.

Probably one of my favorite talks I have watched. I broke down and cried when she was talking. I’m in a hard spot in my life. I’m 28, my husband just turned 29 yesterday. We have a 2 year old. Living in a one bedroom, 4 rooms altogether, apartment in a very small town in Ohio. I have really bad days of toxic thoughts that have led me to have major anxiety issues. To where it’s hard to function. I cry more than I smile. My dream is to move to another state, begin a new life with my family and become a medical assistant. Then I think well you need a lot of money to move. You need jobs. You need a babysitter (someone you can trust) you need so many things it seems impossible and this is the thoughts I want to overcome. I tell my husband I don’t want to live this life without actually living it if that makes sense. I’m such a dreamer and I think about my dreams on a daily basis. I’m trying hard to overcome negative thoughts. For my well being and my family. It’s a process but I was brought to this video for a reason. You know it hits home when it brings you to tears. I am very grateful for this ted talk.

The chief discipline is in learning to love ourselves first. Managing anger guilt shame pain with forgiveness, acceptance and/or responsible treatment. Burdens aren’t evidence of suffering, these are evidence of wanting to Live. And represent lessons to learn, including gaining patience, stamina and wisdom. The moment that process is in play, (and it never must end though how we do it will change) , visualization and manifestation is a wonderful accelerant. Where there is life, there is possibility. There is hope.

1- You want to create with clarity a specific dream, as clear the dream you can design, the more your brain can work on that frequency. Our ability to see and not see opportunities are from the frequencies we think from. 2- We learned to walk by falling down, we just didn't stay down, we were little kids, it was normal to explore, to experiment. We got older we thought every step we take is gotta work out. When Edison was asked: " How did you survive 10,000 failures ? " He said : " I never had a failure, it was all feedback". 3- Many things will happen when you become not a dreamer but a dream builder. Because you're going to create results anyway. If you want something you've never had, do something you've never done, that's growth.

A lot of these speakers assume that people have the clarity of what it is they want to do with their lives. That can be difficult for some to figure out. My advice to people that are struggling finding their purpose, is to just live life without expectations. Put yourself in different situations, seek out different experiences. Experience life through different perspectives. You first need to know yourself well before you can know what it is that your heart desires.

well said. at 56 years of age I still don;t know what I want to do with my life and have stayed in a position of low paid jobs and under achievement but serving people less fortunate as I believed the bulls**t fed to us that poverty is somehow noble and I would get my reward in heaven, blah blah. Now I'm waking up to the truth and I believe I am worthy to receive great wealth and abundance for me now in my physical experience. I am probably now having the best experiences of my life and just going with the imagination of dreams and where they take me.

MS. Mary! I also heard something very similar 20 years after your principal's degrading opinion you received. I had lived a decade of negative contrast to the point that while then, I believed in family, love and a yearning for a better life, wanting to prove so much and given the either/or scenario...either finish last 2 years of high school and then get married or quit as my sophomore year ended and get married building the life I knew should have been, not what was. Principal denied me coming back as a married woman bc it was an embarrassment to my my friends and classmates...more so myself! What?! WHATEVER! I was so naive about strong foundation of boundaries, beliefs and I was extremely clueless to the definition of insanity! I wanted so deeply for the relationship I had wanted and understanding only recently that it was more of an escape and only a repeat of generational cycles. (A sense of familiarity but different!?) A 10 year marriage ending in exactly the same painful and embarrassing resentment and burial of emotional denial. I had clarity several years ago and this statement about 4 areas of life that you will experience transformation, resonates probably equally as important? I'm curious to hear other perspectives, respectfully please?! 4 areas of transformation as this lady stated: Health and well-being, Relationships, Vocation, Time and Money... My journey to experience Native American way of life from the Lakota Tribe in S.D. I experienced being accepted to attend a few sundance ceremonies and learned about their respect for mother earth, spirit and blessed with an emotional journey I knew nothing about. One understanding or connection I came across was a balance between 4 areas of myself and 4 areas of nature or actually Mother Earth. The balanced healing process for me started when I connected with the feelings and emotions of: Spiritual, Physical, Mental and Emotional=ME Mother Earth: North, South, East (native starting point, I believe...) and West OR Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. If any one area is s out of balance, then every area attempts to shift to accommodate but unfortunately only throws an unbalance of contrasting events into your life. In any case, the amount of focus and energy and positive or negative emotions will determine expansion/learning/appreciation. When I finally became aware of that understanding, I began to allow a deeper healing and resolution to begin. So grateful for the lessons from the many on KZfaq videos I come across.

Just leaving this comment here so that I can come back after a year for a 'reunion' with myself. This comment is a reminder to introspect on how I've transformed my life for the better. It is a reminder to be grateful for the life I make for myself - how I achieved my goals, dreams, hopes and aspirations. Mark my words, I'm already on the way. What I want comes my way effortlessly; what I desire, desires me. Where the mind goes, the energy flows, and life grows. I get what I set my mind to, and so will you. I'm unstoppable.

This should be shown in every high school in the country! Why are these critical life lessons not shared with our graduates. Think of all the hardships they endure after stepping out into the world as young inexperienced adults. Think of all the talented young people who have given up on higher learning and dropped out, given in to substance abuse, settle for circumstances and jobs well beneath their intellect and talent, etc. I can’t help but wonder what our society would look like had more young people gotten this message early.

Earlier today before seeing this video the following happened: I just received an inspiring vision. A vision where I will be stepping well out of my comfort zone. A vision where I will learn to network with people in my community (being naturally introverted- this is BIG). A vision where people will come together for the purpose of reaching out and uplifting others. A vision where the sole (soul) purpose is for those who have can inspire and treat those who haven’t found it yet. If this vision had come to me before it would’ve been a passing thought and it would have been brushed aside. And even though this vision may take time to come to fruition it is one that has not been dismissed it’s been journaled and I trust that more will unfold. This is what I love about this business, it cracks you wide open and dreams and desires become possibilities 🌺💜✨ Seeing your video Mary is so inspiring. You have a bra way of telling your story xo

I like that one thought. Humans change things. . . . all you have to do is keep breathing, and in one year things will unfold that weren't there before. Whether that's a sound premise to move on or not, it is a burden lifter and a positive thought. Pretty much what we all need.

I would love to be something more in the way of my personal best and being able to extract the best of me to produce as such. I’ve dealt with a lot of procrastinating and drug issues. Mental health below what is conducive to any kind of life ability or performance. Disconnect from family and consistent backwards or forwards motion of trying to apply and then reject my own abilities to do much of anything. I consistently listen to self help videos and try to learn: I think I struggle with ADHD and other issues that make keeping forward momentum difficult. Still I don’t want to be a victim, I’d like to be able to stand tall on my own two feet.
