You've heard Hans Zimmer's iconic musical works in blockbuster movies and sold out concert halls. Over his long, successful career, a project close to his heart is his collaboration with BBC Natural History Unit and his long friendship with environmentalist filmmaker Sir David Attenborough.
His swelling music pairs with dramatic, stunning images in documentary series like Planet Earth and Frozen Planet to invoke the grandeur of nature. Zimmer's method of conservation is to inspire the viewer to connect on an emotional level. The musical scores invite hope, awe, beauty--reveling at the natural world while encouraging the audience to "feel the necessity" of protecting our precious planet.
By partnering across genres, with pop stars like Camila Cabello and rock legends Radiohead, Zimmer is bringing nature documentaries into the mainstream, even producing chart-topping hits.
