@Beth VanTuyle Wow you really experienced this? Your friends started taking the psychedelics this man was talking about and became less successful? I have experienced the exact opposite. I have seen friends coming from being depressed, unsuccessful, unsocial people to people who are happy, successful thriving additions to society. I did some research and I actually found a lot of evidence backing this up including people like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs who have used LSD, Steve Jobs actually took it monthly. I have also seen quotes from millionaires saying all self-made millionaires they know take psychedelics or did somewhere in their life. I am very surprised by your experience as it is quite contrary to what I experienced through life. Perhaps you were talking about weed in particular? Weed seems to amplify everything, so a lazy person would become very lazy. I know people like this one friend who is really into sports and smokes everyday. This guy is ripped, super healthy and the dude cycled from Hanover to London as a holiday trip. Regarding intelligence and professional success I experienced that cannabis/psychedelics did not negatively impact people. Cannabis does seem to make it easier for people to be lazy, but it did not necessarily make them lazy. It facilitated laziness. This does not mean people are lazy when they use cannabis. I have a friend who has a Phd in Bioinformatics and hiked to Mount Everest Basecamp During his previous vacation. I am not saying taking drugs is good. I am merely saying that the general opinion of drugs is pathetic. People are redicioulusly undereducated regarding Drugs and it is hurting society. People everywhere are drinking alcohol destroying their liver and brain cells while they could've also vaped some weed and spared their brains some damage.

Where do I go when I sleep and why do people insist that we simply sleep like a phone turned off and on a charger. I believe almost everything we have been taught about passing away is all guess work! When it comes to the Mandela effect I start wondering even more. In the context he is using the world though, this isn't true. Brain imaging research done by Nutt since this talk has shown that psychedelics like psilocybin, DMT and LSD act by shutting down the part of the brain which typically regulates what we might loosely call 'open mindedness'. It is the removal of this constraint on free thinking that makes psychedelics psychedelic. MDMA does not appear to produce this same effect in brain scans. So in the sense that these drugs can produce hallucinations and create altered states of consciousness, you could call them psychedelic. But in terms of what we are currently learning about how they work neurologically, it's useful to have a distinction in how we label them.

Things like what he's talking about have so much potential to help people but the government sadly will never let it happen. They don't want to cure people because when they're cured of something then the money that's made from regular treatments goes away and they don't want that. The war on drugs has proven fruitless and futile. Just like alcohol prohibition it doesn't work and never will. The demand is too high and the potential is too amazing.

It was published on October 12, 2017. I will try to look into it.

Bad news I'm afraid. If my information/memory is correct, he was was indeed working on something like you describe, but the research was shut down by the Psychoactive Substances Act brought in last year. The new law was in response to the 'legal high' industry, but the wording of it meant that ANY new substance deemed to be psychoactive, would be automatically banned, regardless of it's actual risks/benefits. I don't want to get too conspiracy theorist here, but clearly a massive win for alcohol/tobacco/pharma, as it basically protects them from any future competition.

The treatment is one dose. It's possible with really bad cases that someone might need one dose per year. The psychedelic effects last 8-12 hours, of a drug that unlike aspirin and ibuprofen has no lethal dose, but the therapeutic effects are long term. There is no dependence on LSD, anyone using it all the time is just being lazy, the same as someone who goes to church all the time instead of working. They both need to grow up and get a job, the only difference is that the person using LSD is actually in God's house.

I believe from the most recent research by Nutt the relapse rate was fairly high, around 80% after several (6?) months. But that's for a single intervention and these are people who did not respond to conventional treatments, so 20% is still a pretty good success rate. And the other 80% mostly did see improvement, they just relapsed after a while. It may be that several treatments 3-6 months apart would provide a lasting effect, although I don't think the trials have progressed to this point in 2021

Because Art Linkletter's daughter forgot to attach her wings before she supposedly tried flying out the window. Also people like my friend who ran into his parents' bedroom at 3:00 am and jumped on their bed yelling, "I'm on LSD, I'm on LSD!!!", which didn't go over too well with the oldsters.

@@jacobjorgenson9285 Yeah I don't know why I made that comment 2 years ago. I certainly believe that psychedelic drugs have some incredible properties and should be fully researched. I've personally had amazing experiences on them many years ago. Alcohol is undoubtedly a far more dangerous drug. But there is no doubt that some people go haywire on psychedelics. I know a guy who ate magic mushrooms 50 years ago and essentially has never been a reasonably functioning human since that day. So there are some risks but the rewards are worth it, in my opinion.

Hi guys . Please tell me it now can help Bipolar 1...? According to Dr Fadiman (2018) ,you can use shrooms in a “depressed state.” But not recommended for use in manic states. Does ecstasy help bipolar? I had my first manic episode at age 37. Then diagnosed as bipolar and ptsd. I WISH I only had ptsd cause then I would take shrooms or lsd. I’ve been in a low state so Micro-dosed .5 grams every 3 days for a month. I felt great for about 3 months . I want to do it again but not sure what studies/ data show in 2019.

Interesting thought... Since you're talking about supernova's... There's only a small limited number of Supernova's.. If the universe is so large and old.. Why are there only a couple out there? If the avg time between them "going up" is 30'ish yrs why so few?? Is the universe not as old as some think?

Cannabis is a medical necessity for all those of us who have been innocently and ignorantly consuming metabolically poisonous polyunsaturated Vegetable oils in our diets and getting one or more of many more modern metabolic diseases and cancers. You need to exclude snack, takeaways, restaurant fried and manufactured foods. The solution is to go vegan and take cannabis supplementation until you are better (maybe 2 years or so) while getting all vegetable extract, industrially refined oils out of your diet. You can use some polysaturated animal food-based oil, that in all animal products if you are not quite so worried about living as long as reasonably possible while remaining perfectly healthy.

Lady Sarah of Chaol Ghleann it’s not directly dangerous, though for some it can be unpleasant. I’d say go ahead and try it out. That’s the only way you’re gonna know. Different people have different experiences. For me, it makes the weed high more sativa-like (if it’s an indica. I’ve never tried with sativa strains). It takes kinda the good things of a sativa high and combining it with an indica high. Very relaxed and calm, but also motivated, uplifting, and happy.

If the same chemicals are already inside of you, wouldn't making them illegal thus incriminate the entirety of humanity? If you aren't allowed to meddle with your own consciousness, does that mean that the government owns your consciousness, and not you?
