Most people think of cybersecurity as solely a cost and avoidance of a detrimental event, but not Ted Harrington. He views cybersecurity as a competitive advantage - something much more powerful when considered as a pursuit of a good thing and made a priority versus an afterthought. Companies trust him and his team to come in, identify their flaws and fix those issues before something bad happens. Ted leads a team of ethical hackers, a group who uses the same tools, techniques and methods as attackers, but in order to make systems better rather than to exploit them. During his talk, Ted will tell us about what you can learn from his group of ethical hackers about creativity. Ted Harrington is the #1 best selling author of HACKABLE: How to Do Application Security Right, and the Executive Partner at Independent Security Evaluators (ISE), the company of ethical hackers famous for hacking cars, medical devices, web applications, and password managers. He’s helped hundreds of companies fix tens of thousands of security vulnerabilities, including Google, Amazon, and Netflix. Ted has been featured in more than 100 media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Forbes. His team founded and organizes IoT Village, an event whose hacking contest is a four-time DEF CON Black Badge winner. He hosts the Tech Done Different podcast. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I will try that VIP line trick....pretty sure the bouncer will toss me aside like a tackling dummy. Otherwise, interesting mindset to try.
