Bjorn Low and Calvin Soh have defied logic through their interest and passion in urban farming.
Having spent five years on organic farms in Europe, Bjorn Low founded Edible Gardens, a friendly social enterprise that aims to change the food production landscape in Singapore. He has been using unique techniques such as pop up farms, vertical food walls, and edible landscaping services to facilitate the ecological environment.
After dabbling several jobs like a cook and camera salesperson, Calvin worked his way up from O&M traffic assistant to the employee of the year within 2 years. He was the first Singaporean CD in Fallon New York and has worked in several Fortune 500 companies. Presently, Calvin is an urban farmer and founder of Ninety Nine Percent, an organization that works with clients who want to integrate consumers into their brand.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

As an urban farming hobbiest & volunteer, this video really inspires me. I really think urban farming should be part of a government's or region's urban development plan.🌽🌾🍏🍄🍅🍓🐟🌱🌿

In Cairo , Egypt (the country of the Nile river) , people do that everywhere . Beekeeping on rooftops is common , and once in a while we do have people harvesting in their own gardens (although that is not necessary because we get organic fresh fruits and vegetables all the time at good prices :) ) Alhamdulilah

I love the idea to grow food in our parks and sidewalks and anywhere that there is soil. :-)

Sometimes its better for adults to listen to children instead of the other way around. This kid is totally right regarding eco solutions. This boy and most other children are well aware of the problems on this planet, and therefore they are very much ahead compared to most adults.
