I had my daughter at 15 and I'll admit the double standard of "young" mom's and "older" mom (we're mom's period) gets to me. The whole thing of when I went to school or work and my daughter was with my mom or family members during the time, then all the sudden that meant someone else was raising my child. But seeing my friends now in their thirties about to have children everyone's telling them, "It takes a village" or "Grandparent time, lean on family" or " Get all the support you can get". So because I had my child young I was supposed to do it all on my own but if I were to have had my child in my late 20s and 30s then it's okay to have support? Nonsense. At the end of the day I and my daughter know I raised her and like any other parent who goes back to work I had babysitters but those babysitters didn't raise my child regardless of who they were. You raised your daughter. Don't let anyone take that away from you. Sorry I'm triggered lol.

That is what happened to my mom. At the age 25 she had 12,10,8,6 and a newborn and then at that time my dad was deployed not even in the USA and then when she had to stop college people thought that she was crazy and didn’t know what she was doing. Truth is she didn’t but she kept it together and got through it. And now I’m triggered 😤

“When that baby turns 2, I am kicking your ass”. Honestly. I think that is such a good response. It’s honest, it’s a little funny, something you could laugh through the tears and emotions and just take a deep breath and know everything will be okay. I just really like that response and that on its own makes me emotional for you, if that makes sense. I think I am going to log that into the back of my mind and if in the future I ever encounter such a situation in my own family, I’ll know I’ve got the right response :)

My story is completely different from yours. Years of infertility, miscarriages, IVF, a lot of heartbreak to get our family... But just because I had to work harder doesn’t make me love my babies any more or mean that I’m a better mother. We are both moms and I see the same love. You are an amazing mother and it’s obvious. I was a teen mom and raised right, taught about safe sex. In 1989, I was so responsible I got on the pill 6 months before I even had sex, to make sure it had plenty of time to work. I made appointments and got all my friends who had boyfriends on the pill. Then I got strep throat and was given an antibiotic. Weeks later doctor's office called saying some preliminary studies had shown the pill may be affected by antibiotics so I may want to use a backup method. Too late. Pregnant at 16. Luckily going into my senior year. Had him end of April, took final exams, graduated and got an apartment, working the entire pregnancy to save 1st, last & security. When I turned 18 in Oct, I already had an apartment, a husband, 2 jobs and was in college pre-law. We had a beautiful life, worked so hard,.bought our dream home, had 4 more living children, 1 stillborn son and 2 foster children, until my husband died, and our kids were 6 to 23. Funny thing is the one friend's mom who was horrible and didn't want her near me, her daughter never married or had kids, which devastated her mom. She spent years then saying she wished her daughter was like me and had the life, family & career I had. Hmm...ironic.

When it comes to the sibling thing, I had one sibling a brother who was 8 years older than me. He passed away in 2004 at the age of 21 I was 13. We were so close and he loved me so much when he was still here. But luckily I’ve always had an aunt who is a literal sister to me. We share clothes, go shopping, lunch, she knows everything and anything about me and vise versa. So don’t worry about that ever! Xo you’re perfect and you’re doing the best!!

The mom that came up to you and said that you should be ashamed, should be the one ashamed of herself! Imagine relying on teenagers to be a role model for your daughter. You are amazing, lady! I was 18 when I became a mom and so much of what you've talked about with the mom-shame from older moms is A MOOD. My son's teachers coooonstantly assumed I was his sister or a younger aunt(????) rather than his literal mother, making for some real awkward parent-teacher conferences. Random strangers still go "oh wow you're so young to be his mom" even now! (like damn ladies YES I KNOW THANKS NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE but also thanks for the compliment~ LOL) I lost friends because I couldn't go out and do a lot of the "fun" stuff my peers were running off doing. My dad didn't tell his co-workers he was gonna be a grandfather; my aunt/uncle wanted me to give the baby up for adoption to them--it was insanity, especially considering I was at least a whole-ass legal adult at the time (18 was hard af, so I can only imagine how tough it was at 14 for you). And so so so hard. Now that he's older, we've talked about all the stuggles I went through but always with the understanding that it was entirely worth it to have him in my life. It was such a struggle as a single mom and while raising him required I put off college in favor of work, I can amazingly say that now that he's 20 and I'm 39 we're going through college together! Thank you for speaking up about this

hi, might be kinda weird but im watching this series from a teen mom's daughter perspective. im nearly 18 now and my mom only has a few years on you - i just wanted to say that i love seeing your videos because i've always wondered how my mom might have felt during her experiences as a very young mom. its very endearing but also heartbreaking, but im just happy to hear and learn about the things not only you and my mom have gone through, but plenty of other girls. :)

I had my son at 15. Was the most scariest time of my life , I didn’t have a mother or any family support to help me , guide me through taking care of a baby. It was the most hardest time in my entire life. I had to bring my son to school and I was “made fun of” for it . But I had no other choice. I became pregnant again, (I was on birth control) and I was completely shocked. Long story short, I had 2 babies while I was 17. I had no support or any help. I took buses and took my kids everywhere I went at such a young age . I matured very quickly. I went through so many obstacles. It was very hard. It still is. I work 2 jobs right now to pay rent and to support my children. But I am so proud of myself because I grew up in a family where it wasn’t much of a family really. & If it weren’t for them I most likely wouldn’t be here. I really appreciate you Jennica talking about teen pregnancy and explaining it how hard it is and how high school was the worst time. I relate so much. I love you’re content! Much love xoxo❤️

We went to high school together (I graduated in 2008 so I believe I was in my Junior/senior year? When we were in school together. Idk anyways) and I just want to say how proud I am of you girl! I love watching you guys grow up and you have raised an absolutely beautiful daughter. So much love to you. I am sorry you had such an awful highschool experience. Small towns like ours make me sick to my stomach in that way. I love the Burg, but seriously acting like teen pregnancy is contagious is sad and hurtful to those it affects. I think it is so important to keep those conversations about sex, dating, etc. open and ongoing with kids. No one is perfect and unplanned things happen. Period. Especially when your young. It breaks my heart to know that grown women were coming against you like that. They were Definitely acting upon their fears, etc. Which is not okay at all. That doesn't surprise me a bit though. I am so thankful you have wonderful support within your family. ❤❤❤ Anyways, lots of love for you here and thank you for talking about ALL the things! I got married at age 19 and we immediately starting trying to get pregnant and it worked within a month. So many people I went to church with started rumors about me saying that was why we got married so fast. It was insane! We had our baby boy almost 11 months after we got married so.. boom. I guess people forgot it only takes 9.5 months to grow a human baby, not 10.5 but I digress.... Still people would talk behind my back and that really really hurt. We don't live in Lawrenceburg anymore either and I am kinda glad in some ways. It has been nice to experience other places since we are military and meet so many incredible people. ❤❤❤

I have 2 daughters and it doesn’t matter what age a mother is you have to put that baby’s needs ahead of your own and when your brain 🧠 is still growing it’s more challenging 😥 but it’s not impossible for a teen mom to be a teen mom.

I love this channel. I’m from the other side. I’m a mother of a teen mom whom is now 21 with 2 children and thrives.... nobody wants there children to be teen parents, but I’d rather that than a drug addict ect.... this is not a channel pushing teen parenting this is a channel that is helping other young moms that you can be successful

As a teen mom myself now 30 with a 14 year old.. these videos resonate so much with me!! They make me giggle, they make me cry, they make me think back to the AWFUL days of high school. Your changing the world sis .. you really are! Your platform is helping and will continue to help young women out there! I wouldn’t trade my life, my daughter, my story for anything and it’s so nice to have someone to relate to all these years later! ❤️

“glorifying teen pregnancy” you’re not telling people to get pregnant you’re telling people to be smart and that if shit happens it’s okay, that if you really try you’ll be okay, if anything they should show you to teens, when i was younger i would’ve loved feeling okay, because of how real your channel is🥲
