MISTY is becoming a grandma at the age of 37. The mother-of-four got pregnant with her daughter, Rileigh, when she was 15 years old. Misty told truly: “There’s a lot of trials with that… I received a lot of judgement about being a teen mom.” Now Rileigh, 20, is pregnant with her first child. When Misty shared the news that she was becoming a grandma online, she received a lot of comments from people in disbelief and was even accused of lying. Misty explained: “There were people who said ‘no way, this is just for views’ and ‘she’s not even 21’.” Misty describes herself as a protective mother and was concerned for her daughter when she found out she was pregnant but she is looking forward to welcoming the new addition to the family. Misty said: “It is a little strange to be a grandmother at 37. At first I was embarrassed to tell people because I thought ‘they’re going to see me as this old lady’ but now I’ve gotten used to it, I’m really excited.”

Riley is 20 and she turns 21 I believe in July. Yes it is called being a young mom but it’s not being a teen mom. Some people don’t know the difference between a young mom and a teen mom and it really shows.

We didn’t really have a cycle but my mom had me at 18 and my sister at 21. I saw how hard it was on my parents so I didn’t want to be like that so I am 32 and my sister is 30 with no kids. I do love having a young mom but I’m also excited that I’ll be able to have the money to give my kids anything they need (not anything they want as spoiled but not being afraid of not having food, electricity, etc). My husband and I plan on having kids probably in about 2 more years (we hope to have a house bought by then).

@@MHSMagicLuver i think you made a smart decision. see you will be more aware, alert and more present in ore ways than you think. quality is important and it goes a long way, with a little safety cushion you'll be less stressed and you'll have the time . i wish you and your husband all the best.

My grandmother was 18 when she had my Mom, Mom was 19 when I was born. Grandma was 38 when I was born. I struggled with infertility for years and had my daughter right before my 30th birthday. First woman in my family in 5 generations that did not have a child as a teen.

My mom is 49. I’m 36. She never had more children and created an amazing life for me! I just had my first baby and she’s over the moon to finally be a gma! 🥰 I always joke she scared me into doing the opposite - I was “geriatric” prego at 35. 😂

I became a mom at 17 and grandma at 37. I have 3 children total and my youngest just turned 18 and I am now 49. I currently have 6 grandkids. It wasn't an ideal time to become a mom but I have no regrets and all my children and grandchildren have great lives and I am pround of each of them. And the bonus is that I am still young enough to run and play with my grandkids. And also young enough to still do things on my own when all of my children are moved out on their own.

I had my daughter at 17 and made my mom at gma at 37 as well… my mom is 20 years older than me, her mom 20 years older than her, and my oldest kiddo is now 23. Four generations of very strong women, still going strong. And yes, my oldest started her own tradition of waiting to have babies. Im now 41 and not a gma yet, but I’ll be very grateful if that happens when my kiddos are ready. You can be a great mom and be young… age has very little to do with love, compassion, and capability.

yeah they are not telling the whole story. that woman has not one but 4 kids . its never about having them very early it is the quality of education you can afford to give them . when i was a teenager in germany there was this girl who got pregnant at 14 back in the late 90s . principal removed her from school , we had been trying to hide her bump by trailing her , buying clothes to hide it etc... a team effort lol! but we didn't know adults could just look at someone's face and tell pregnancy is in progress. we had a school reunion after lockdown and she showed up. when i tell you it was obvious her education and scholar evolution stopped in the 90s that is not a joke. she is now a grannie of 3. she is a sweet gal but her conversations evolve around gossip rags and tiktok stuff.

I am glad the daughter didn't get pregnant until she was 20. Personally I think that is still too young. Maybe 25-30. But God willing she will raise her child right. That's all that matters. Is the kid going to be happy and healthy and a productive member of society.

I had my first son when I was 15. I waited 14 years to have my second child. Now my oldest is 27 and my youngest is 7. I've had 4 kids in total. Today is my 43rd birthday! When my youngest was a baby, people assumed my oldest was the father 😅😂 When you're young you want to look older and when you're older you want to look younger.

My mum isn't a teen mum but she had two kids before she turned 30. She was 27 when my sister was born, 29 when I was born and 37 and my brother was born (Which people also judged her for). Unfortunately people judge you in life no matter what you do with your life 😑

Jealous of having a major responsibility put on you due to your own poor choices? lol, be fr. Lots of teen moms struggle and often wish they waited to have kids. This is not something to brush off as jealousy. There are legitimate reasons why it’s not ideal to be a teen mom, and the cons often outweigh the pros.

Its not that extraordinary.....my brother was a dad at 21 and 17 yrs later he was a grandfather. His daughter was 17.his youngest daughter was 13 when she had her first soon after his first daughter had her first, so my parents were 37 with their first grandbaby. Lol niw my brother is 60 with 11 grandkids and one great grand. Its not that shocking. And we all had great parents great child hoods.

Good on her for being a great mom even though she got pregnant young! But as far as looking so young goes- she's 37 and you can tell at the brows especially that she uses Botox. Which Botox at first world amazing at looking younger- later it seems to have the opposite effect unfortunately. Also there's obvious filters being used. Don't get me wrong- she looks amazing and seems to be a good mom. But the looking young thing isn't fully transparent.

More so when we don’t have OPEN conversations about sex and what can happen. Frankly, she is the perfect advocate for sex education. @@reylo99 The youngest grandmother I ever heard of was 24 years old in Chicago. Ideally, a woman should become a grandmother right around mid forties and up.
