I know people who had their dad's and were influenced a lot worse!!!! Maybe his father's path was a blessing of learning for their family, an evolution in a sense. There is positivity to be had from even the most tragic of situations. I'm glad he tries to guide his boy down a better path, of promise, fulfillment, righteousness, dedication, strength & perseverance. An education is the key to a world of ignorance, mankind's biggest threat. I wish both him and his son success, happiness, peace & healing. ❤️🙏🏻

Are you all crazy? Since when is revenge paid for with vengeance? Is hate paid for with hate? Death pays for itself with death? I am not religious but many religions teach just that, wishing or practicing the death of someone no matter how bad the atrocities that person has done are simply not ethically correct acts. Think of his family, think of the pain of losing a child, 17 families suffered pain because of this murderer, why give the pain of loss to another family taking the life of someone who is already being punished? Death is only paid with death in an archaic and savage society, we are descending to his level if we do that, we have completely different reasons to kill such an individual but the result is the same: murder, something we all condemn but for some reason in some cases our discernment ceases to exist thanks to a will of hatred and revenge identical to that of the murderer we criticize, this makes us hypocrites and murderers alike. In addition to all these arguments, the main and most fundamental is what is beneficial for such an individual to have his life taken? Would not life imprisonment be a much better punishment? In which he would always see the same walls, he would suffer from boredom and consequently his freedom would be limited forever. Don't attribute the power to kill anyone to the state, eventually innocents will die as well, all thanks to our thirst for revenge.

waterside well, he was already in prison, so he did what would be smart. He knows he won’t get out.
@orangeman7586 жыл бұрын
waterside No, he's not smart for killing that other person that lead to him being locked up. I wouldn't really call him smart for killing Dahmer, but the point most people are making is that he took care of scum. Think of it like this: Dahmer preyed on people. His murders were directly enacted when he felt like it and had the opportunity. He killed innocent people. Multiple innocent people over a long period of time. He got caught in the act. The chances of him having stopped any time soon had he not been caught were rather low. Scarver stuck up his job and killed his boss in a fit of rage over perceived monetary disparities(Not arguing that this was a reason for Scarver to have killed his boss, just giving insight into the situation and Scarver's thought frame). This isn't better than what Dahmer did, *but Scarver wasn't preying on people.* The chances of him having committed another murder, while higher than the general population, was still a lot lower than Dahmer's chances. And, while I'm not saying I agree, some people may also see Scarver as more redeemable as all 3 of his murders had motives that, *while not very good motives to take some ones life,* at least put some "reason" to the murders. No one knew/knows for sure what drove Dahmer to want to kill people and rape their bodies, and if his urges could ever be subdued.
@orangeman7586 жыл бұрын
See, you're not looking at this in a broad manner. According to law and the people who comprise it and enforce it, no, that wouldn't be okay, that would be vigilantism. However, as I explained in my first comment, some people in the general public can respect that he did this given the circumstances. Asking me if in the situation that *you* went around killing what I assume is *self-defined* "scum", doesn't really further anything I said. Just that some people see Scarver as somewhat of a hero for what he did, killing a person who was *arguably* more worse and dangerous than him. Perhaps if you went around killing some somewhat widely described scum, you'd be held as a hero by some people, but you'd still be arrested and incarcerated for vigilantism and murder. It isn't of *my* opinion that what he did was right or wrong. I was simply explaining other people's opinions.
@EarDestructionStudios6 жыл бұрын
Vigilantism is so stupid when it comes to the law, they get in trouble for helping the police.. If they are helping the law do their job, I don't see the big deal unless they are killing them.

I have heard before of killers like Dahmer taking their murderous habits into the jail cell. His father had to have known that Dahmer was a hopeless case and needed to be (taken care of.) he probably well had saved a number of inmates with this one act of violence.

My parents knew one of Dahmer's victims and they send Scarver a care package on July 25th every year. They chose that date because he gets too much stuff on Christmas. Sadly, he was in solitary confinement for a very long time until he managed to bring a lawsuit. I think he should get parole when he's really old. Especially because he had undiagnosed schizophrenia when he first killed. He's not innocent, but it's a mitigating factor.
