Stiles and Lydia not being together is a such a big FU to the fans who waited so long for them to get together. They were endgame when the show ended, and this just solidifies that I don't need to see the movie since they were the only reason I watched the last couple seasons.

the reason they gave for it was still good, i think if there is a continuation, as there is a set up for it, Stiles will probably come back and i am sure there would be a moment between stydia where Lydia realises that she can't run away from the destiny. if it pans out like this, it would be an awesome scene.

Doesnt matter they are still alive and they are still endgame.. ups and downs are part of every relationship. Yes it sucks that stiles wasnt in the movie and it could have been handled differently with them being married and stiles out overseas for some case etc.. but whats done is done... The only hope is that dylan comes back if a sequel is announced because his main issue was that he didn't have time due to scheduling conflicts as he was considering to reprise the role but the production started almost immediately after they announced it and it was just post pandemic and he had other commitments

@@pthespidey5057 And also having to understand that he was filming the show WHILE doing the TMR trilogy, got into an accident on The Death Cure stunt and having to leave the show as well for his injuries. I can see that the production had to be pushed back until he was better and only came back to Teen Wolf towards the end of the Wild Hunt. I believe he had to have been stressed out about those projects and also doing 2-3 films in one year, counting the methods for his characters, absurd hours and that’s not even counting the movie; I think he’s slowly taking it easy on himself after going through that and I respect him for doing that. We do know that his heart lies and dies with Teen Wolf, that’s all that matters❤ much love to the cast, crew and Dylan

@@20erzet00 I’ll tell you I haven’t seen the movie but I saw a TikTok about it. Basically Lydia had a vision that stiles and her were in a car crash together and stiles died. So basically they broke up so it wouldn’t happen.

I understand why Lydia did it.. (its most probably for the time being) remember Lydia's grandmother had a premonition too (as she was also a banshee but didn't know it) and dismissed it as a dream and her loved one died and she realised the premonition and decided to study more about her powers with meredith... So i can understand why Lydia decided split because she doesn't want stiles to die and her premonition always end up true . Maybe it is for the time being because as she mentioned it she knows how old they would have been when the accident is supposed to happen as she says she kept on seeing it and maybe she is just waiting for that time period to pass away....

Dylan was considering coming back but the movie started production almost immediately because all the other actors were free but dylan had commitments so he couldn't join at the production so he decided to pass on the role saying that he left the character at good place so even if i dont come back the character is safe and also that he wanted to try new characters rather than revisiting old characters (which was kinda Goofy) although I dont think stiles would have remained goofy since 15 years have passed in TW universe had everyone had matured so stiles would have matured enough too but since he had decided not to be part of the movie so he didn't know specifics about hoe long after the movie would be set in... Most probably he would reprise the role if there is enough time in his schedule and informed earlier because his main issue was there wasnt much time between the movie was announced and the production for him to be available.

I was a big fan of Teen Wolf. The seasons with the Alpha Pack, Deadpool, and Nogitsune were my absolute favorite. Even the Wild Hunt had a decent story arc. I was pretty satisfied with the way the series ended and the relationship pairs at the end. I felt like Allison's death was handled in a respectful way that helped move the story along and helped the characters grow, particularly Scott and Argent. The movie was an utter disappointment. I was very surprised at the poor writing and storyline after the TV show had some very strong plot lines and character development. The whole resurrection of Allison was stupid, and the Nogitsune arc in the TV show was great because it was strengthened by Dylan O'Brien's acting. You definitely felt Stiles' absence in the movie. I honestly can't believe that Jeff Davis thought that this garbage was worthy of being produced. It just felt like a slap in the face to not only the OG fans but the TV show's writing and character developments.

I tried to watch it but the scene at the beginning with Scoot saving a child from clearly two styrofoam wall made me step back,the movie felt even cheaper then the serie. (Dont get me wrong,i loved the show but the movie felt cornie af).

Methinks you might have nostalgia goggles on. I didn't know about Teen Wolf the MTV series till 2021 via Dylan O' Brien memes from the show and gave it a shot. First few seasons were okay, not great writing wise, or character wise, then four and five were downhill, and I couldn't watch past s6ep1. Given thn trailer, I don't think I'll be watching the movie either.

No Liam and Mason scenes the movie was decent but derek,Scott ,coach and Eli and peter was great in their roles like time never passed malia too the rest of them it felt so rushed and Kira could have played a BIG role as well she could have helped end the nitsgonue her and Parrish combing powers would have been epic while Derek held it down they channeled lion king mufasa vibes there but hopeful Eli has a spinoff and lydia and Jackson were funny though and coach 😂 and Melissa and Alison's dad I kind of shipped her with Peter it's kind of weird since alison is back....

Dylan’s career has really shot up. He’s done really well after the show, whereas the rest of the cast I haven’t really seen them in anything so I don’t really blame anyone for the choices they made. If they love the franchise and wanted to do more but also it gives them income to literally live off of. I mean yea if they had the ability they’d probably like to be more picky but I’m sure some of them are in a place where it’s like “okay I need income and this will help” 🤷🏻‍♀️ Dylan has been quite successful and is probably ready to move on from this character. 🤷🏻‍♀️

He did a comedy movie with big actors, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, in the Internship. He’s a successful actor. He’s the most successful actor on Teen Wolf. That’s a fact.

I was outraged that they broke Stiles and Lydia up. BUT, that being said, they did do it the best way possible (if it had to be done in the first place...which it did NOT. But anyway...) It's mentioned that Stiles is going through heartbreak (Sherrif says something like "he's going through enough right now") and Lydia is torn apart by it as she tells why she ended it. I actually think it's within Lydia's character to break up with Stiles if she thought she was a danger to his life, even though she's clearly still in love with him. My hope is that they make more content to wrap this up nicely. If not, I'm fine living in denial and pretending the movie never happened. Why can't we have a world where Scott and Allison are together AND Stiles and Lydia?

fr the entirety of Stiles' explanation why he wasn't there was so messed up. I feel like Jeff Davis just does stuff bc he has the power to. what was the ENTIRE POINT of the slow burn endgame of Stydia if it's not even gonna be a thing in the movie. Jeff knows the majority of TW fans adore Stiles. Even if Stydia broke up, I still feel like he would have some sort of connection to Scott, which isn't addressed AT ALL. fr the better explanation would have been that Stydia are still together BUT Stiles couldn't be there bc he had an important FBI mission or something- that would AT LEAST give the fans some peace. but Jeff had to kill everything the fans waited YEARS on. it's just such a disappointment.

i feel like jeff was petty that dylan wasn't a part of this and that's why he decided to break up stydia, logically stiles wouldn't ever let that happen. the thing with scott as well. I also think the whole garden cho/ kira situation is messed up. Haven't seen the movie but I'm not sure if she's even mentioned once.

Yeah, they needed a season to do it properly. That was really clear with how rushed everything felt, like what happened to Derek at the end out of the blue and the fact that so many of the characters didn't get to even talk to each other or do much of anything in general (like Liam and Mason).

I was so thrown off with Malia being with the deputy since it ended with her being with Scott. I wish they explained why the broke off and such. Hopefully we also see arden chow come back if they revive the series or something

I dont know about arden.. she was talking about equal pay as the leads even though most characters had very less screen time so showrunners decided not to use her and use a different kitsune the fire one in the movie (liam's gf) she had such less screen time too and if arden was asking equal pay for that amount for small role then it made sense to drop her... Also it would have been awkward for Scott -kira-allison- malia because those were all at a point in a relationship with scott.

Also malia and scott did end up together at the end of s6 but when they said allison will be back for the movie i was like then scott and Malia will brealup for sure in the movie because Allison was scott soulmate.. i was just suprised that they already had broken up before .... I think it was due to the fact that scott left beacon hills and probably malia wanted to remain in beacon hills once she had toured the world (something she wanted in s6)

Never finished the series. Thought it got cringe when it moved past the wolf stuff, and I also got old. Then it became a soap opera and Stiles wasn't cracking jokes anymore. I skimmed through the movie with no intention to watch it and it wasn't any better. Same old stuff. Glad most of the cast got back together though it was nostalgic.

Don't, get the Paramount+ free subscription, watch the movie, the more subscribers watch the movie, the greater the chance of there being sequels, and Jeff Davis really wants Dylan O'Brien to come back for at least one of them. Anyone who claims to be a Teen Wolf fan and watches the movie anywhere else other than Paramount+, I want you to know that you will be part of the reason why we don't get those sequels Jeff Davis wants to do

I've been WAITING for someone to talk about this... one of my BIGGEST gripes with the movie and it almost made it unwatchable for me. I was so disappointed we didn't see more interaction between him and Scott :/

They could have come up with any scenario where they didn't have to break up.... There are countless scenarios where this outcome was not necessary. This is one movie, Stiles could have been away. He was going into law enforcement right? (it's been a while since i've watched) It's not like it's a series where his prolonged absence would start getting weird. It's just one movie. They could have kept referencing him differently. Because by doing this it almost feels like he's been cut off from the group. And it's not teen wolf without Stiles. It just isnt. I just don't.. understand why they had to be broken up when there are so many ways to treat a character who is not physically present. I don't get it. It's like a slap in the face and a waste of years of build up. All because Lydia had a dream... it's not the first time she's had premonitions and they got through them... she's essentially gone to hell and back for him too but this is where she draws the line???

Lydia had a premonition that her and Stiles would be in a car accident and she survives but he doesn't. She said if she was never in a car with him that would never happen so she broke up with him

the movie was awesome i agree the break up story was sad the movie had my emotions going up and down through out the whole thing but i which he could of been there it would have made the movie 10X better it was still great though that they referenced him a good bit and left the jeep in there..... :):):):)

I still watch the movie but styles was my favorite character I do like they put his name out there movie was great and all but it didn’t really feel the same without Dylan O’Brien/styles he was the heart of the pack

I think they would of been better off making the movie where it’s still a crazy war between them and the hunters. Also should of been like a limited series so they could have given more time to really go into depth of the characters and give more background. The movie just felt super rushed and I think it’s sad after all this time they didn’t take their time with this.

Sometimes filler does more damage than good, it ages you tremendously, not to mention it changes your entire face shape and almost never for the better. Less is more, although I understand that celebrities don't always see it that way. She was drop dead gorgeous pre -fillers. Didn't even need them despite being much older than last time most of us saw her

@@anouar3194 omg im glad I'm not the only one who felt that I agree I felt it was rushed like maybe this was supposed to be another season on TV but he was forced to make it into a film Also it felt real off, cast members who should been there were missing, and one moment I really hated in the film was really awkward and cringe at least without a backstory

They killed my fav character, my second fav didn't come back, and they killed the best canon relationship. Much love to the cast for coming back and doing this for the fans, but JD really screwed over the fans with this movie. I don't want a sequel or another season, it's time to just let TW die.

To me Lydia and Stiles were never supposed to work together as a couple. They only depended on each other in life or death situations. When they were in a casual situation they were constantly insulting or being sarcastic with one another and it didnt feel like a long term relationship would hold up. I think the writers of the show just felt pressured by the fans to bring them together at the end, so im glad that they arent together anymore.

dylan is a bigger star than any of them in the series, that's why he's not there. let's get real here. i doubt his manager wants him to be on a tv movie, essentially. even listening to both of them justify him not being there is kinda painful to watch. they're struggling to beat around the bush

George Clooney became a big movie star after he left the show. (A much bigger one than even Dylan is even at that time period) And he still found the time to return to the show to reunite with his own screen love interest to close out her time on the show. So if Dylan has any desire to do it, he will.

The fact is, for someone like Dylan who came from TV, got big movie roles but didn't make it to A list yet, appearing in a TV movie may affect the type of roles he will get in the future. He hasn't broken out completely of that TV star category. It's sensible for his agent to distance himself from TV while shopping around for more movie roles. They just don't wanna typecast him. OR it could be a case of dylan's manager negotiation for better salary or even more screen time in this TV movie but the deal didn't fall through. Its common practice.

Instead of the Lydia's idiotic prophetic dream about Styles, they could just made so they weren't on speaking terms atm or Styles was away in a different country and wasn't able to help or something instead taking everyone's favorite ship and throw it in the trash
