I think the performance of that first song really captures something of the essence of that time and scene. It sends a chill through me and rips me from this moment back to the past and then its a roller-coaster of feelings and thoughts. A trip not to be taken lightly or too often due to the potency of the ride.
@niallfogarty8719 Жыл бұрын
wrong. the first band play the same boring chords for three or 4 verses... then put a stupid thrashy bit at the end because they aren't thrashy. the Mega's and their fans then blast them out of the studio..! just look at the fans of both bands... TFC (the first band) clearly apeing Nirvana, their fans just mope gently to a boring song..... then MC4 clear everyone out - even the camera cant quite caprture the pure energy of the song.... yet YOU can only praise the "essence" of the first song??? no wonder we got Oasis and britpop wetness soon after.... urrgh

This was my first Reading festival. What an experience!! I went specifically to see Teenage Fanclub and Ride. I've just been talking to a friend about this. Music festivals will never be like this again. All those people moshing in the mud are there for the love of the bands performing. Nowadays you get Glastonbury selling out before the lineup is confirmed and I hear a lot of kids going to festivals to get off their faces and giving a fuck about the bands playing. Or am I just being an old fart!!! Yes ... probably

Lol, I know a lot of people going to Roskilde and coming back not being able to tell the bands apart😅. Due to all the Girls, beer and fun taking place at the camping.
